October's Party

October gave a party,
The leaves by hundreds came.
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand.
Miss Weather led the dancing,

I so love fall! I think it is the sense of change that creates excitement... coupled with the beauty of dramatic colors, cool air, and bright crisp days that beg for a walk. (sigh) It really is my favorite time of year.
