I'm thinking of going in October, usually I go in January but the past few years have been too cold. Can anyone tell me about the crowds in October. I'm nervous about the food and wine festival. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I've never been in October (yet!), but I heard it's the time to go. Crowds aren't bad and the weather is perfect.

hi there, we went oct 20th - 26th this last year. i had only been at very slow times so i was nervous. we were able to do everything around the parks and had no problems. the weekends at epcot do get busy for the food and wine festival, but everything is still doable. we found going during the weekday around lunch was great for the f&w festival. no lines. we had no huge waits at rides and mission space was a walk on everytime. MNSSHP is also a blast. we walked on every ride and even rode Haunted Mansion all alone. :cool1:

No need to be nervous about the food and wine festival. The food and wine are delicious.

What do we do if we are only going on the weekend? :)

We went in October and the weather was fantastic!!! It was 85 everyday and virtually no rain. The crowds were minimal compared to Feb/Mar when we had been there in the past. We are going again this year in....you guessed it October!!!! You will love it.

October is a beautiful time of year to go and the crowds are very manageable. Enjoy!!

Have a lot of patience. ;) Epcot will be busy! Try and get there early so you can do FW before WS opens and then spend the rest of the afternoon in WS.
