We are raking leaves, tidying up the yard and putting summer stuff away. Later I will make a big apple crisp for our dinner company tomorrow. I am getting out all my fall votives and yankee candles...I love 'pumpkin pie' and 'spiced pumpkin'. I will put the autumn wreath on the front door and put up the indian corn. I love October! And speaking of October, the Red Sox are in the play-off's, with Game 2 later tonight!!!
What about you, what kinds of seasonal things are you doing today?

Sounds great! What time is dinner tomorrow? I will be doing similar things today as well. One thing I HAVE to do is switch out my drawers from summer to winter clothes. Argh! For some reason I despise that job.

Since my Yankees are out of it, I'll root for the Red Sox for you. Enjoy this beautiful day in New England!

I am listening to the sound of dry autumn leaves scrape along the road in the after wind of a car passing by, which doesn't happen too often.

I like that sound, especially on a crisp starlit night.

I may make an apple pie later on. I am trying to stiffle the urge to do so because after I make it, I'll want to eat it.

YES! I bought a few of those too and love that scent as well. Speaking of switching out clothes, I hate that job too and can't bring myself to pull out the long pants. I am still in capri's and bare feet. I wish this month could last for three, I just adore this weather so much. Have a great weekend!

The weather is getting cooler! It was a "spooky" day yesterday with grey clouds and wind. I LOVED it. I had some pumpkin cheesecake yesterday to get into the fall spirit My Halloween tree is all lit up Maybe i'll watch some scary movies.

Well I just moved from MA to CA and I love this weather. Bright sun every single day. Very comfortable temps every day. No cold or crisp here. Shorts, sandals and off to ride bikes all along the Pacific Coast Highway.

If I was in MA I would be putting away all my summer lawn furniture, covering up our central a/c units outside. Shutting off the water outside. Wrapping up the hoses. Raking all the leaves.

Not this year, we went to Panera's already for breakfast and sat outside and read the LA Times and soaked up the rays. I am getting my fill of Vit D daily.

I have my Halloween decorations all up and we are decked out in Red Sox t's (despite this being Angel and Dodger (Manny) territory)!!!
