Well my August trip got cancelled the evening before unfortunatly so we are now looking at October potentially.

Can anyone who has been in october give me a bbetter idea of the likely weather then please ?

Is it still shorts and T shirt or more like trousers and T Shirt ? Pool weather or only if you are used to swimming in the sea in britain ? :)

Still VERY Hot in October normally. We always go in October/November because its a little bit cooler than August which can be a bit too much I think...

Also, these months tend to be a little quieter and cheaper !!!!

October is probably the ideal time to go, and definitely still pretty warm so shorts/t-shirts etc will be fine.

We love October and it is definately still shorts and t-shirt weather when we've been.

We have been, May, August, Xmas and numerous times in October. Our favourite time is October, Oct half term is very quiet in parks, 2 weeks before it a little busier but still nothing like August. Perfect weather and you can get to Halloween events at MK, Sea World and Old town on 192. And Universal if you like horror evenings.
Another October event is Belz Annual tent sale, dont know if it will still on with all the changes but look out for it, Disney almost give stuff away.

Whenever we've been in October, the weather has been mostly fabulous - and much nicer than when we went in August ;)! :sunny:

Weve been in Feb, Aug & Oct and our fav time is Oct.

Just think you can look forward to all the haloween events and Epcot F&W

October is usually very nice. Hot but not too hot.
Not as humid as August and a lot dryer :)

You may get the odd showery day, but you don't get the afteroon thunderstorms that you get in the summer.

I'm so glad you asked this - ever since we booked in May for next October i have been wanting to ask this question, but thought everyone would think i was daft for asking so early!! Can anyone tell me what sort of temperatures we can expect - i am thinking perhaps late 70's: early 80's? Hot enough for the water parks? Does it go very chilly at night?

I think mostly low 80's, but this is Florida! It could be up in the 90's, but equally in the low 70's, especially late on in October. We have been to the water parks many times in October, it's generally perfect for swimming.
The evenings are lovely. Warm and balmy. There is a remote chance that you could get a cold snap, but it's not likely.

We have been in November and found the weather fine. T-shirts by day light jumper by night. You also get the advantage of seeing the Christmas decorations. We are going Dec 1st this year but, after reading this post will consider going in October next time for the Halloween nights.

Definitely warm enough to swim right up to 11pm, We did nearly every evening last Oct, took a few cans of Bud down to the pool, met up with friends and kids swam til it closed at 11.
