I am not big on shorts and we are going october 8-13th. Will the weather still be too hot to wear chino pants or dockers type?

We where there last year from 10/3-10/8 and it was super hot and humid.

The weather in October can go either way but it's usually in the 80's with humidity hovering around 50%, so it can get quite balmy. With that said, in 2012 we had to purchase sweaters and sweatshirts because the high only reached around 60 degrees for the last couple days of our trip.

The weather in October can be a mixed bag. I've had trips where I went from being super hot and wearing shorts and a tank to having to buy fleece to wear, it got so much colder.

Be prepared for either extreme and watch the weather forecast right before your trip.

For the most part, October is still hot! I am a born and raised Floridian and I can say that in all my years living in FL I can only remember 2 maybe 3 halloweens where it was "cold"
It is like a northern summer, it's still hot during the day but sometimes can get cool at night. However, the beginning of October is usually still pretty hot! So, I'd say count on it being hot, with a possibility of cool evenings.

We go every year around mid to late Oct and it is still HOT. Most years we have experienced at least 80s and even a nice handful of 90 degree days. Humidity on average runs in the 70% range - higher in the morning and lower in the afternoon and evenings. We have also encountered the odd cooler day (rare in our years) so bring a pair of capris and maybe a hoodie or sweatshirt.

Its usually HOT and sometimes very humid. We were there a few years ago for MNSSHP mid-Oct and it was FREEZING that night. We had luckily worn down on the plane jeans and fleece coats/hoodies because it was cold in our home airport and glad we had them that night. I think it was down into the 40's that night and cool the next day but the rest of that week and all our other October trips have been pretty warm.

Went the same time last year and it was HOT. Only one night did I wish I had a sweater, but otherwise was in shorts every day/night.

Our last three trips have been in October (2010, 2011, 2012). We have never experienced cool weather.

October is definitely hot, the earlier you are in the month the hotter it is. We have went several times the first week of October and it's hot hot hot and humid. We had a few 90 days and at the least a high of 85+ everyday. Although there are many ways to escape it and everything down there has ac, and at night it does cool off a good amount, I wear a light sweater at night in October there. Maybe I'm just use to the heat in that time frame since we've went so much but for some reason I don't remember it being brutal or effecting our days, humid or not. I've never been the very end of October but that is what we are planning for our next trip and several people have mentioned it cools off a good amount by the end of October, so if your dates are flexible for the month, maybe consider a later week. Good luck :)

I aas there late October-early November. I would wear Capris just about every day and sporty just above the knee length skirts. I am just not comfortable in shorts for some reason but honestly capris in light weight material are just fine. Get lighter colors.

The weather was was in the 80's and a few high 70's. I know you are going earlier when it is warmer.

All I know is this past Oct the week we were there the heat index was over 100 for 5 of the days. it was hot. no humidity, but the days were hot. at night i wore shorts to dinner half the nights I know.

I have lived in the south along the coast all of my life. So I am familiar with heat and humidity. I find myself wearing lots of skirts during the summer. Much cooler than even shorts, I think.

We were there last year Oct. 19-25. The first 5 days of our trip were miserably hot, with dew points in the 70's. SO MUGGY!! We ended up buying a cute panda umbrella at the China pavilion just to shade us a bit from the sun (it helped!) The last 2 days, the dew points dropped, and it was beautiful (80's during the day, 70 at night) but not muggy at all.

I don't like shorts because my thighs will chafe so no matter how hot it is, if I'm walking a lot I'm in light capris. I also don't mind the heat though. We went to Disney in August and I was wearing capris.

I think if you are uncomfortable in shorts the additional cool they might offer isn't worth it.
