October weather???????

My family and I are taking a nine day WDW vacation (10/24/08 - 11/1/08) and staying at Coronado Springs Resort. We have never been to Orlando in the fall. What is the weather like and will we be safe from their typical hurricane season?

We used to travel to Disney every year in Oct. because my dad played in the pro-am at the golf classic. Every year, without fail, there would be a "cold snap" that week, which in central Fl. translates to the first time we have a high in the 70's instead of the 80's-90's. October is probably my favorite time of year because of this...

As far as the hurricanes, it would take a major stroke of bad luck not only for a storm to form that late in the year, but then for it to hit central Florida. In other words, I wouldnt worry about it

Average for that time period is a high of 83 with a record high of 92.

Hurricane season runs through 11/30. Although less likely at the end of October, it's still possible. They one around that time a couple of years ago (Wilma 10/24/05, category 3).

Went to disney in October of 06 absolutely beautiful, warm, sunny couldn't have been better... Family members went in October/November of this year, some rain, but mostly nice. You will miss the hurricane season.

We went October 06 and the weather was warm and sunny. We also went Oct 26-Nov 2 in 07 and had a Tropical Storm stall over Orlando! It rained a lot but it was still warm! You just never can tell! I still wore shorts even though it was raining....Grab your poncho and go!
