Hi Guys, We all visited Disneyworld for the first time last April/May and had an absolutley :earseek: amazing time. We recieved loads of extremely useful advise from the friendly people on these forums.

I was hoping you could help me with our trip planning this year too. We are looking at going in October/November and was wondering what the weather and crowds are like at that time of year. Is it similar to April/May? The temperature and crowds were great last year.

I know we should avoid Columbus day on 10th Oct but are there any other times we should avoid in Oct/Nov? What's Halloween like?

Thanks guys. :wave2:

Hi, and welcome to the boards! :) Glad you had such a great time on your trip last year!

Check out this thread and it may help to answer your question about conditions in October.

I would say that generally speaking, these times of year are similar in terms of visitors and in terms of weather, although May can get hotter spells. If I could pick a time of year to go based purely on these to factors, it would be May or Oct / Nov. We just pick November, because May in this country is usually bearable, but I hate November weather so much!!

I'm sure you will have a wonderful time.

Actually Columbus Day when we went in 2003 wasn't THAT busy. The two days around it were certainly busier than the rest of our holiday (it fell right in the middle of our two weeks), but it wasn't too bad, mainly because it was so quiet before and after these days. Plus they extended the hours, opened attractions that are only 'seasonal' and put on extra parades and fireworks at the Disney parks, so we did get just as much done, if not more.

Having said all that, I'd still probably go late October / early November out of all those times given. Main reason - the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. It was starting the day we left last time and was gutted to miss it. It really is worth it.

:cool1: Hi,we're going from November 6-18th.Have been at this time of year before and love it.Weather is great, crowds are small!
Take care,Kirsten in Canada  :teacher:

Thanks for the help as always guys, please keep it all coming. I have heard a lot about the Food/Wine Festival at Epcot and was wondering if you could also tell me what this entails.

Thanks again.

Hi Darth Turnip (love your name by the way!) & welcome!

I've never been to the Food & Wine Festival but I would love to. Here's some information about it.

You've also got the delights of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party with info here

Hope that helps!

We had a brilliant time last Oct/Nov.

The weather was perfect everyday.

We went to MNSSHP mid week and it was great fun, the crowds weren't too bad. Everybody gets dressed up...Generally the crowds weren't too bad, until the last couple of days of our holiday when there was a teachers convention or something like that from NY and the parks just seemed to get very busy. I dont know if this happens every year though.
We went to Seaworld on Halloween day/night, this was fun too, the whole park was decked out for Halloween and there was candy stations everywhere. This was included in the usual ticket. Its called Seaworld Spooktacular, this was only on at the weekends though.
Remembering all of that makes me want to go back again. It is one of my favourite times to go.
Have fun
