For anyone who has cruised in October and November, which month do you feel is better?

I want to book an eastern caribbean cruise on the Fantasy in 2017. The last eastern in October sails on October 21, 2017. I'm a little hesitant to book this cruise due the possibility of hurricanes. The next eastern is scheduled for November 4, 2017 (which I put a hold on this morning). Weather wise, which would be the better cruise. Will it be too cold at Castaway Cay in early November?

Thanks!

If you are taking special cruises to account, the October one would be a Hallowe'en on the High Seas cruise.

I have an early October booked for this year - with travel insurance, in case of hurricane.

Technically hurricane season doesn't end til November 30th. So with your 2 choice of dates- pick based on If you want the Halloween theme or not :)

As far as weather and water temps- it is a little cooler than summer, but not much until late November/early December.

We did a November 24 cruise back in 2015 and the weather was great on CC! The water was a little chilly but not unbearable.

I was on the Western Caribbean last year (2015) OCT 31-Nov7, perfect weather, we had a great cruise!!! I just booked with my placeholder for the EASTERN Caribbean this time and I booked the NOV 4 cruise. hoping for just as great weather again :) I don't think you are ever guaranteed anything when it comes to weather you just have to hope for the best! PS the water was warm as a nice bath.... don't worry it won't be too cold to swim unless it's a very cold rainy day!

I'd think October is better, I'm booked for November on Norwegian Epic for a reallly cheap price for the 4 of us, much cheaper then October dates. It'll be my first November cruise. Last time I sailed in October the weather was wonderful, cool breeze, the water was a bit too cold and im guessing Nov will be colder.

Thanks for everyone's input. I think I'll stay with the 11/4 cruise. I know that it's technically still hurricane season but the chances of a November hurricane in the Caribbean is fairly low. Appears that several of us will be on the 11/4/17 cruise!

If your decision is solely based on hurricane chances- you will (should) be fine with either.
