We are wanting to go to Universal Studios to check out the new Diagon Alley in October. However, we do NOT want to go to the nights of horror events. How does this affect regular visitors to Universal Studios? We will be be there the week of Halloween, which stinks because that event is almost every night that week.

Thanks!

The studios park will close early on all those nights and that means day guests will have to exit( so less park time).crowds will be heavier in the studios park later in the day ( the closer you get to park close)

During the week of Halloween, do you think the crowd level will be high then on the only day that the halloween party isn't going on? We are trying to decide if we'd rather have an abbreviated day or bigger crowds on a full day.

The actually week of Halloween is actually pretty light for HHN, the week before is the events busiest week. So you should be ok. Crowds will be higher due to Diagon Alley than usual tho.

The only day that might be busier in the parks would be Halloween day itself. Lots of locals come over during the afternoon to get ready for HHN and crowds have picked up recently. When I first started going in 2004, it wasn't busy at all but since 2009 or so, it's picked up. HHN is busier on Halloween night than in previous years but still not a back breaker.

many regulars here would love to see it offered every night earlier in the season:wizard:

based upon from my experience during 1st few weeks of October, the crowds always seemed to be smaller than normal @ park opening the morning after a HHN. Possibly a combo of onsite guests sleeping in;)and others waiting to arrive a bit later in the day to combine w/HHN.
