october visit for halloween

Hi everyone. we're planning a third visit for the week before the school holidays in october ( Monday the 17th ) for 4 nights. We've never 'done' halloween before and I know its very busy during half term, but has anyone been the week before in previous years if so have you found this week to be very busy? Plus, what's the weather usually like as we have a 1 year old and dont want to go when its too cold for him

any help would be much appreciated

Sorry not able to help with your question, however I went 26-30 oct 2009, I did no find it that bad, the most I waited was 10 mins for POTC, but I did not do the popular rides as was expecting.

Weather was ok, chilly in morning, but got sunny during the day. dD wore a tracksuit top on one day.

Half term for us is the second week in October so that's when we went last year, around the 9th I think.

It was quiet, weather was beautiful sunny, but needed fleeces/jackets.

We all loved it - I'd love to go again this year but need to count the pennies

Thanks for the replies. Our original plans were to go the first week of october when i know the parks are not busy. We're unable to go that week now and can only do the 3rd week instead but as it's the week before the english and french half terms I'm a bit concerned it may be very busy.

I've read that some people have been during half term and although the parks and attractions are great they wouldn't go again that week due to the crowds
