I was trying to decide when to go in Oct. and I was wondering if I could get a little help on the attendence during the month of Oct. Is it better to go during the begining of the month? Is halloween week really crowded? Thanks for the help.

The first half is definately less crowded than the 2nd half of October. First off Halloween and also the Food and Wine Festival Starts at Epcot Mid October which brings in a big crowd. I have been both times and we really enjoy the first couple weeks of October, the crowds are pretty moderate and the weather is beautiful!

Hi. We now go the beginning of October, the full week leading up to Columbus Day Monday (my kids here in NC have Race Week off school). Before that we always went the full week before Thanksgiving and we've also gone a few times in the Spring. Crowdwise, October is in the middle of the two. November was quiet and March/April was crazy busy. The beginning of October is great. We've had weather in mid 80's to swim and the lines aren't long at all, the longest for the 'big' rides like Space Mountain, etc. maybe 30 minutes, sometimes less. It got busier the second weekend leading up to Columbus Day, but not horrible. Good luck deciding!

We went Halloween week last year and were pleasantly surprised by the low crowds. I was so afraid that because it was the week leading up to Halloween, it would be crazy. Well, it was wonderful crowd wise and weather wise. Perfect vacation.

The only big crowds we encountered were Halloween night at MK for the Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party but it was still managable for trick or treating and a few rides. So much fun!

Before this trip, we experienced WDW in Sept and Dec both considered low crowd seasons.

Good luck!

We went last year and are going this year mid-Oct. Very reasonable crowds. However I've heard that Colombus day weekend and Columbus Day can be crowded...guess I'll find out this year!

It's a great time of year to go!

the end of Oct was not crowded- except for MK on a Sat night- that was hideous

I am going in late October and the first few days of Nov.

For anyone interested the only other time I have been to Disney was the last week of Feb and the crowds were very managable. The only line up we had was for Dumbo and that was about an hour but had to do it. Everything else was very short

We're going in October too - first time trying MNSSHP!!! We usually go during the summer, so we're used to crowds (although we have been to MVMCP three times - great time to visit!!)

Hey Joats - we'll be there Oct 13-18! Can't wait! Its our first time doing MNSSHP - are yall going to the party? We'll definitely be there Oct 14; I already have my tickets and a PS for LTT! We may do it again Oct 16.

Hopefully, it won't be too hot (but definitely warm enough to swim - my DD just learned to swim and she is definitely looking forward to swimming every day!)
