Okay, I've been at Christmas, and Easter... and now I'd like to try a time that might be a bit less crowded... suggestions? I'm thinking I'd like it to occur during the Food and Wine Fest... I'm only looking for a long weekend trip.

We're going in October. I have heard a lot of good things about that time of year, except regarding Columbus Day. Some school districts have a long weekend then and it gets pretty crowded. But there's Food and Wine, MNSSHP, more moderate crowds and more moderate temps.

Just wish it wasn't so far away:(

May, Sept., and January were fairly quiet, too. For WDW, that is. everyone says first week or so of DEcember is great: really low crowds, great holiday decorations. We just can't take the kids out of school becasue there's no decent break near that time. (but you could go on your own!)

After going to WDW the week after Thanksgiving for the past 8 years (my favorite time), I just bought my plane ticket to go the last week of October. I'm looking forward to the Food and Wine Festival as well as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. :)

I say that sept is the best time to go. Right after labor day, the parks are dead. You can walk onto just about any ride. as you see by my signature, i swear by it!! Good luck for when you decide to go.

We went last year October 12 - 19. The parks were not super crowded and the weather was pretty good. It was very muggy the first couple of days and it was only partly sunny a couple of others. I think we had two brief rain showers and that was it. We're planning to go a little bit later in October this year based on our last trip. All in all, I'd say it's a great time to go, but then again I have nothing to compare it to.

The first weekend in Dec. would probably be your best bet. You might even wonder if you're allowed to be in the park it can be so empty.

The quietest I have seen it is just after New Years, just afte Labor Day, the mid-late Oct. and the first week in Dec. I think you would do well any of these times.
