Can I get some input? We are thinking about going to WDW in October. We have only visited in December, April, And May. What can we expect for crowds and weather?

The beginning of October is great crowd wise. The only exception is EPCOT because of food and wine festival. Weather is warm still, usually mid 80's, but you never know in Florida, it could be high 90's then too. I've lived here 13 years and October and February are my favorite months to visit the parks.

weather is warm.....usually free dining at this time use to be our fav time but the dining thing really brings in alot of people everybody waits for that

The weather is generally great...still warm for swimming and such, but not "Florida in July" hot. Like the PP said, Epcot F&W may run crowded...but that tends to be worse on the weekends (beginning on Friday night, as many locals enjoy the event)...if you plan an Epcot day during the week, you will likely be fine. We had a great trip last October (10/5-10/12), with short waits, and lots of fun! Columbus Day weekend tends to see an increase in crowds...try to avoid it if you can.

I love October @ WDW!!! The fall decorations are nice and there's the MNSSHP!!! We've been 4-5 times in October and have enjoyed it every time. Once we did have some rain--but that's what Dollar Store ponchos are for:goodvibes

Humid and less crowded at the beginning of the month except for Columbus day weekend it gets a bit crowded

My wife and I love going this time of year. We have been the beginning of Oct the past 3 years, including our honeymoon this past Oct. The weather is beautiful, still very warm (mid to upper-80s) but not unbearable. Perfect for both parks and hanging pool side. I'll echo the prior comments with the crowds being very reasonable. Prior to Columbus day weekend, they should be in the 2-4 range on the crowd meter. Food and Wine is a nice plus as well, but does bring some traffic to Epcot and Epcot resort area.

I went in Sept/Oct in 2012, and loved every minute! Food and wine is a mid week for sure. Great weather, too. Planning to again this Oct. can't wait.

my daughter and I went in October 2012!!! Prior to that we did Christmas twice, spring break and late February!!! We absolutely LOVED October (and we were even there when a hurricane hit southern florida) We had some wind and 1 day of rain, but otherwise the weather was great and the crowds were small!!!! Looking to go again this year either in late October or early November for a Familymoon!!!!! Can't wait!!!! Have fun!!!
