October Trip/Food and Wine Festival

My boyfriend and I are planning a trip in October so we can be there for the Food and Wine Festival. Neither of us have been during the festival before, well he has never been to Disney World ever. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had any tips about taking on the Festival? Also, we are getting the DDP and I know that snack credits can be used. We are planning to just not use a Counter Service credit for lunch one day and to go around trying different foods at the Festival instead. I was curious if you can use a Counter Service credit for a snack or no?

You cannot use counter service credits at the festival kiosks. They take snack credits only.

You can't use a CS for snacks unfortunately. I always thought that would be a smart idea but you can't use meals for snacks.

I was hoping since we weren't using that one we could put it towards the Festival. That stinks. Thanks!
