October Park Hours? No WOC?

Currently the park hours for October are posted through the 15th, WOC is not listed except on the 1st and there are no DL fireworks even on the weekends. This can't be right, can it?

The calendar often updates in steps. Hours and rehabs first. Major entertainment next. Smaller entertainment last.

Be patient it will fill in.

I hope it isn't right! We are also going to DL late Sept/early Oct and there are no fireworks or Fantasmic times listed for the dates we will be there as well. I'd really be disappointed if we couldn't see these events. Keeping my fingers crossed that the schedule isn't complete....

I was wondering the same thing.....:thumbsup2

Ski is right. For those new to the forum every single month a thread like this gets started! :) DLR's calendar does not come out all at once complete. First they add days with hours. Then they start filling in entertainment. Once you get 4-6 weeks out they solidify the schedule.

Oh good, I thought I had let it alone long enough but obviously I need to be more patient! Thanks guys!!

As skiingfast and HydroGuy indicated, DLR seems to roll its calendar out in stages. The September calendar just became finalized last week, I think it was. The full, complete, finalized October Calendar will appear sometime in September, but little bits of it will pop up here and there - and then they may suddenly vanish and reappear again - before then. DLR has been known to put certain things on the calendar and then remove them and then put them back again before the whole process is finished!

Never fear! There will be World of Color (probably once per night) and Saturday-Sunday fireworks (Tuesday and Friday fireworks, as well as fireworks on October 3rd and October 31st, will be reserved for the Halloween party guests)!

We're there Oct 24 to 30 so I knew we would only see fireworks on Sat & Sun but thought it odd that WOC was not showing up at all. I completely understand now, but I am still impatient to see the entertainment schedule! :rotfl: I just became the cliched new disser after 2 yrs on the boards! Oh well the DFTW board was my home for most of my time on the boards!

The thing that I don't get is that "someone" seems to have the schedule because if you call Disney Dining to make a WOC dinner reservation, they can usually tell you what time WOC or F! is before it is on the schedule. If there is a particular night you are interested in, just make a WOC reservation for that night and ask what times it will be showing; that seemed to work for me last year. Last year I had the same worry for a late SEP trip because it showed the park closing at 8PM and no WOC on the schedule. When I called and reserved my picnic baskets, IIRC the park closed at 8 but WOC was at 8:15 M-F even when it wasn't "scheduled." I think it showed up approx 30 days out on their calendar. I kind of remember them think I was weird even suggesting that WOC wasn't showing every night because it wasn't on the schedule I could see.
