DH and I just went in February. I was very newly pregnant (like just found out the week before going :goodvibes ) so it was a very different trip! Well I mentioned I wanted to go again and DH said he was just thinking aout it too!!

I refuse to go in the summer and this winter may be too soon financially and with new baby so we're thinking next fall. We've been in the 1st 2 weeks of December and loved it but DH's work has forbidden any long vacation in December (busy month for them). SO we're thinking October or November.

What's going on those months that would effect crowd levels? I know Halloween events but what else?

Thanks!

I love October and November. The weather is pleasant and the crowds are manageable. October is fun with MNSSHP. If you go in the middle of November you'll get to enjoy the Christmas/holiday decorations.

Both months should, overall, be less crowded, but you will see a bit of a crowd perk up as it gets close to Halloween because of the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, but even then, the crowd is definately manageable, and no where near as bad as it is during summer months. Also, if you will be toting a toddler around at this time, it may also be fun for you guys to take her (or him) trick-or-treating in costume in the park (if you attend MNSSHP, you will get an opportunity to do this!).
Both months are about equal as far as weather goes-it will be warm. Not sweltering, but not cold enough for coats.
If you are tossing between going in October or November, I would go with October, although both months are a good pick. Just note that the week of Thanksgiving, with schools being out, alot of families opt to take advantage of this and squeeze in a trip, so the crowd count rises a little bit towards then end of this month.

When we went in October in 1998 it was sweltering hot. El Nino they said.
But I imagine the weather is great usually that time of year.
The crowds were good also. Our longest wait was for Dumbo, and I think we waited 30 minutes. (mostly in the sun arrgghh)
I would do that time of year again in a heartbeat.
We are going in November this time. From what I have read here, it is perfect weather and crowds as well. :flower:
