Hi there,
We were planning on going the first week of Dec but with the new free dinning add on I was thinking of moving it to 9/28-10/4. We went last Dec and loved the weather, low crowds, chiristmas decorations, and MVMCP. Also our DD had her 3rd birthday while we were there.
The pros for going early
-we won't have to wait so long to go :cool1:
-free food :mickeybar
The cons
-no holiday stuff
-no disney b-day for kenna(I think the going sooner would would make her fine with this)
Since we've never been in Oct. I would love some feedback comparing these two times of year.
TIA

Hi,

Well one thing that comes to mind right away since you said you loved the weather in December: the end of Sept/beginning of Oct is HOT. Also, early October will be busier than early December.

You will miss the decorations but you'll have the Food and Wine Festival, which is great too.

Let's face it, you'll have fun either way you decide!

We went last December and had cold weather. I think it's hit or miss. October trips have been great weather wise and we were able to enjoy the pools. You can do the Halloween party which we enjoyed more than the MVMCP. I think you will have a great time which ever month you pick.

Tough call! We went in October last year and when planning our trip for 2006 we toyed with the idea of going in December.

Going in October is great! Yes, it is still hot. Mid to upper-80s. The waits for most rides were 15-20 minutes. We went to MNSSHP and LOVED it! I can't wait to go again! The Food and Wine Festival is fabulous.

I think crowd wise, they are about the same. Decemebr might be a little less crowded. So I would pick based on weather and attractions.

I have never been in December - I might do that alone this December for some holiday shopping

but Oct is great - we did both the Food and Wine (Great Adult Party) and the MNSSHP (great for adults and kids) - we had a blast and that was just in one weekend...

The lines I don't remember being that bad... and as a bonus we could still do the water parks b/c it was still warm enough - not sure if it still is warm enough in December... being from the North a waterpark in Decemerb is frighting :)

Either way have a blast!
