I'm trying to decide which month to go. Either end of October or week before Christmas? Wondering about crowding and entertainment during these times. Thanks:)

If you are worried about it being to crowded I would say go in October because it gets very crowded that soon before christmas. But Its beautiful during the holidays.

Having lived in both north Florida (Pensacola) and south Florida (Miami), I would choose late October based on weather. In December, you are more likely to have cold fronts come through. Don't know about crowding, etc.

I vote for October, less crowds, good weather, and you can go to Mickeys not so scary Halloween party which is way popular

December is great!! Not sure about Oct., but my wife and I went in early December because we had our original honeymoon destination fall through. The weather was a bit cool, very nice though, and the crowds were very light. All of the Christmas attractions were up and running and made for a very memorable trip, probably the main reason we bought into DVC. I highly recommend that time of season, although I have heard that the crowds begin to pickup the closer you get to Christmas. :santa:

I would go in october, it would be less crowded, they also have the not so scary halloween you can buy tickets for.

This is so funny! Back in September or October, I posed a very similar question. I asked if we should go late Sept/early Oct or late Nov/early Dec...and the majority of the responses were for Nov/Dec.

Granted, you are talking a couple weeks after what we were inquiring about, but still pretty close.

One of the primary reasons for our post-Thanksgiving trip decision is so we can see the holiday decorations. And one of the main reasons everyone gave for avoiding early October was the bug issue. Can't remember what they are called now, but apparently they are quite remarkable at that time of year.

Have fun planning, no matter what you decide.

If it were me, I'd pick October. We went last time in December, just before/during Christmas. I know some people love it there at Christmastime, but we didn't. It was too crowded. It was too cold to swim. A few days the temps were bordering on warm (still not warm enough to swim) but I prefer really warm! I experienced being there at Christmastime and I don't care to do it again!

We have gone in Dec twice now. It was very nice but this year we are trying October. The decorations are something to see and MVMCP was alright. The osborne lights are spectacular but the weather was often colder.

Coming from MI we were glad not to be in snow, but both times it was in the 40's with freeze warnings. We actually have all the pictures from MVMCP in our winter coats with gloves on. It was a damp kinda cold! So we are hoping for warmer weather in October, if we dont like it we can go back to December next year.

If you can go the week after Thanksgiving, the first week of December, that would be the best time. We have been at that time and it is great. The Christmas decorations are up and we walked right on to most of the rides.

Christmas holiday season at Disney is beautiful, but crowded. If you're worried about crowds, I'd go with October.

i would say the beginning of december especially if you have children. theres
something magical about christmas time around there:santa:

I would vote Christmas if you've never seen WDW decked out in Christmas decorations. The weather is pretty nice but could be quite cool, especially in the evening.

Crowds can be moderate at either time...it seems like a lot of schools are going to alternate schedules so the previous "down" times are slowly decreasing. Crowds are nothing after being at WDW for Christmas to New Years week.

Having done the MVMCP several times and the MNSSHP last year in early October, I thought the MNSSHP was more fun. Could be that Halloween Party was a novelty though...may need to go again to test that theory!
