October madness

I am already planning our DL vacations for next year and am thinking of going in October since it will be my nephew's bday and he will get in free.

I remember reading on the boards how busy and hectic the park is in October and that there is a school vacation for kiddos in Utah. Can anyone refresh my memory and tell me what dates to avoid?

My nephew, niece and their parents have NEVER gone to DL! Can you imagine????? And I would like the experience to be as pleasant as possible. His birthday is October 8th.

That is the calendar for the current school year. UEA break for Utah schools in 2009 is Oct 1-2.

Also assuming Gay Days is the 1st weekend of Oct. it'll coincide with UEA ~ I'm hoping to go the 3rd week of Oct. visiting on weekdays. Columbus Day is the 12th.

October also has the Arizona school breaks and the CHOC walk, in addition to UEA, Gay Days, Columbus Day and the large Halloween crowds (especially over the weekends for MToTP).

I just looked up UEA on the Utah Ed Association's website because I know the date changes every year. I don't have the 2009 calendar, sorry, but DD isn't school age yet.
