October lovebug update?

Wondering if anyone has any recent lovebug updates? Did a search and last posts were a few days ago and they were getting worse. Our daughter is petrified of bugs (even non-biters like ladybugs) and we leave next week. Does anyone know how long they are typically "bad"? Thanks for any updates.

I have no idea about Florida, but our Texas love bugs have pretty much gone away.

A month ago I had to wash the car just about every day ewwwwww.

I also don't know about FL, but here in LA, they have all but disappeared. Hopefully for your DD's sake they aren't all just migrating east!

Uh, they were worse yesterday than last week. But they still don't bite

we were there from 10/2 thru 10/6. I didn't see a single one (or a single two)

They're still around, but not bad. Stay away from water areas and you won't see that many.

I'm in northern FL and they are practically gone here. There are a few stragglers now and again but not the swarm that you usually will see. Being that it's FL, unfortunately there are going to be bugs year round though most of them are harmless.

We just got back and I think I saw a few pairs everyday. I wouldn't have even known what they were if it wasn't for this board. I don't think my DH noticed them.
