October hours

I have to repeat my post from a couple of days ago:

Hours are released AROUND the first of the month.

September hours did come out on July 1, but August hours didn't come out until June 3. Both times hours were posted between 10AM and noon EDT.

ShellyLynn - although many resorts may be sold out of the free dining, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will be more crowded. Remember that only a limited amount of rooms are available for free dining.

I know, I just wonder how many packages they had for sale? I'm sure we will never know. :flower: :flower: :flower:

Those were both Fridays! I hope we don't have to wait until Friday! :sad1:

So, why do they publish hours by the month and not by the week? I'm going Oct. 1st. I only need to see that week. People who are going the week before me have known their hours for a month now. So not fair!

:rolleyes1

They do it so everyone can plan accordingly. If they did it just by the week, then why not just by the day? It gives everyone a chance to plan.

I remember for our first trip in April of 04, that they did a park each day for that month. I have been checking all parks and still nothing..

I feel like the person from that old Mervyn's commerical.
(dark outside - peeking into the door) saying, "Open - Open - Open".
"let's see October hours".

It's 4AM on 8/03 and still no hours. I guess we are in for another day of dissappoinment about getting hours posted. The good news is that Disney will do it sooner or later. I just hoped it would be SOONER!

I went to bed thinking, somewhere there are people that are also going in October and they don't even realize that the hours are being released. They probably don't know what EMH or ADR even stand for. But they'll go, and they'll still have a good time......but maybe not a GREAT TIME!!! DH thinks I'm crazy for stressing out about the release of the hours, but I just keep telling everyone that they'll thank me when we get there(like always). Hang in there everyone, it's almost our time. For most of us, at least for me, this is it. This is the last leg of the planning. Our packages are purchased, our flights are booked, our transportation is all arranged. I don't think my plans will change much. I just want to be able to write down something in the hours section of our itinerary(even if it might change later). Here's to hoping today is the day.

I was thinking this as well, specially when someone said that "they'd be out by the end of the week"

I have no clue why I'm getting obsessed with this...I think that once they're out our trip seems so much closer....

PS they aren't out as of 8/3-8:15am :sad2:

My DH thinks I am crazy, too - but he knew this about me when he married me! I told him he should be grateful I don't use a spread sheet - though actually, I have been considering it. But he humors me because when we leave illuminations we don't spend an hour getting out of the park - and we see Tinkerbell fly from the Castle while eating dinner at the CA Grill - and we don't stand in lines the whole time we are there. Besides the planning and anticipation are at least half the fun! When we went to Europe this summer for my son's wedding and were there 3 weeks I had a folder an inch thick with plans, maps, confirmation numbers, descriptions of hotels and restaurants. We had a great time!
