Here .

Only Epcot FW, but it's a start.

Updated 7/31 - MK Hours, no event schedule yet. There are some 11 PM Saturdays.

Updated late 7/31 - Now MK has Events, but only lists the 3PM SADCT Parade. FW is NOT there, and WS has events.

I wouldn't make any event plans based on these yet.

Thanks for sharing! I was just thinking tonight as I was trying to firm up our PS wish list that I wish I new October hours - maybe they will post them all by Monday for the new ps day!

Looks like FW is open until 7 starting the week we arrive - an hour later than in Sept so they probably are expecting larger crowds in Oct than Sept.

The projected hours based on 2002 were 9 am to 9 pm for FW in October. It may be either they're expecting smaller crowds than last year or maybe M:S (and a few other attractions) will be operating from 7-9 pm but the rest of the park will be closed.

Another possibility is the Disney Co. is being "penny-wise and dollar-foolish" by saving money on overhead at the expense of their guests' enjoyment. Obviously, I'm just guessing! :)

The hours on Thursday, Oct 9 are interesting. 9am-3pm. I think this may be due to the "official" opening of M:S. I know about the August 15 opening, but IIRC the Oct 9 event is for the press and bigwigs etc. I'm just guessing here, though.

Also, IIRC, Mickey's Philharmagic's ceremony is supposed to be the day before, Oct 8.

the show they have at Epcot in the evening????. I am not going to show my ignorance by saying the wrong one....but will there not be one in October, does anyone know???

Hockeychic -
If you're talking about Illuminations, that shows up under World Showcase - check out Sept. 2003 to see what I mean. So don't worry, be Disney!

World Showcase will probably be 11am-9pm with Illuminations at 9pm. Future World has been closing at 6pm the past few months (except for SE, TT, HISTA) so 7pm is an hour increase. It hasn't been 9pm for awhile.

The MK hours sure look weird. I see that there are 6PM closings for MNSSHP, but what's with the 7:30 and 8:30 closings?

I was only looking at the last week of the month, when i will be there, and my thoughts are that while the actual HHB is on the 29th at the MK, they are having other events the prior two nights, perhaps at the MK as well? I got the cheapest package, so I only have Wed night. Just a thought - thanks for the heads up!

Can someone please point me to a link that shows me when the shows and parade times are for all parks?

Thanks!!!

The 8:30 MK closing looks out of place, but it may be an effort to compensate for FW closing at 3pm.

What I find strange is that MK closes at 9pm on the 4th, but closes at 10 or 11 every other Saturday in the month.

sarivers:

The link that I posted at the top ::Look up. Look waaaay up:: will have the parade/event times once Disney decides and posts them - take a look at Sept. 2003, and you'll see the "Events and Entertainment" links fore each day.

DrTomorrow . . Thanks for the info!! It's a pleasant surprise; I wasn't expecting to see anything for October yet.

Now if I could just get the Spectro schedule for October . . . . . . .

Me too, donna!

My guess - and a guess only, is that the 9 and 10 PM nights will have one Spectro at close and the 11 PM nights would have two at 9 and 11. Hard to second guess Disney, though.

Wow .. hope your speculation is correct. It would be GREAT if Spectro ran on Oct 17th.

I had been planning that Spectro would run only on Saturdays, but if the occasional Friday was thrown in, our plans would be vastly improved!!

One can only hope . . . . . . .:teeth:

(Just noticed that you had an eight-year break between 1994-2002 . . . . how did you stand it???? )

We were at WDW last October and FW closed at 7pm then also.

donna,

For those 8 years, first DW went back to college (and DS was in Catholic high school) then DS went to UMich. So we moved vacation focus from Orlando to Las Vegas - they're a lot more alike than you'd imagine.

There is supposed to be and all new fireworks show at MK starting in October. I had read that they were having it every night. Hope this happens!
