October Golf Tournament ?????

Does anyone know when the golf tournment is in October. I heard that it could be crowded when the golf tournment is going on. I am planning a trip for Oct 18-24. If anyone has any knowledge about October crowds, I would appreciate it.

We go to WDW during the tournament almost every year and really don't notice the crowds being bigger in the parks or the tournament being that crowded. We think that all in all, late October is the best time to go.

Last time we were there in October was in 1999 for the millenium celebration. Did not notice any unusual crowds in parks. In my opinion, the best time for WDW. Perfect weather for everything, including swimming. Due to kids school and extracurricular activities, that time of year is no longer feasible for us. Although we are going next week. Good Luck.

I was there last year from Oct 23-Nov 2 and had no problems because of the golf tounrment the first weekend. I did notice a blimp in the air probably taking pictures or something but it was a sponser of the event and it never came over the park. I would not change dates because of this event. You will be fine.

The FUNAI Golf Classic is October 18-24 this year.

we were there during the FUNAI last year and the crowds were great. I dont think you will have a problem. We are thinking about going around that time again this year too.

We were supposed to be going down for the tournament this year, but a family wedding has nixed those plans. We are now planning on October 2005.

We were there in 2000 and the crowds were heavier than I had anticipated. Certainly not as bad as the school vacation and Christmas time crowds I've experienced in the past, but (if I remember correctly) it is a school vacation or holiday for UK folks and the park was full of them. It made for some lovely listening....I just love a British accent!!!

We had a blast at the tournament! Followed Tiger most of the time, but also spent time following Payne Stewart in his last tourney before his death!
