October flights with Virgin?

Hmmmm recently prices just seem to have really jumped

At the moment PE in October is over £1200 but with miles plus money it is £970, so my question is will a sale price happen that is lower then miles plus money? Looking at September, which currently has sale prices it is still over £900??

Any thoughts would be appreciated

have you checked the website isnt screwed up i want to go in oct but every time i try the return flight is upperclass for some reason and wont let you change it

Direct in October seems really dear again this year - due to school hols.

Scotland seem to be off early/mid October then England at the end. I think alot have cottoned on to October and are willing to pull kids out tagged onto the half term.

I booked indirect a couple of weeks ago for £500 each and was happy with that. Virgin wanted mega money!

I'm getting £510.30 for 26/9 - 6/10 using M+M. Definitely pricey but I really don't want to travel indirect.

I had a similar problem when I was booking our hols.

This is what the travel agent informed me:-
"It is purely down to availability why prices increase. Airlines release seats in price class, still sat in economy, you have just paid more for your seats. Once one class has sold then it will go to the next class at a higher price. This happens until only Prem and upper class left. The earlier you book the better chance you have of the cheaper seats."

I started out with X class seats 3 days later only N class were available putting a grand and a half on the price. We had to adjust our dates to make it affordable again.

Thats exactly how they work unless a sale comes ip

When i worked for va alot of people called asking for cheap seats and my response was to book when they come out at 11 months unless they release a sale
