So I know I read about people getting emails from Disney offering a resort upgrade so I thought of start a thread! I'm hoping for one but if it doesn't come it won't matter, but I'm very interested as to what dates Disney has offered this for, so post away!

I don't think I have seen anyone post that they were offered an upgrade. Perhaps you could post a link to where you are reading that people are getting upgrades in October.

Disney has offered upgrades in the past during September Free Dining when the values were full or oversold and they wanted to free up rooms. Upgrades might be offered if rooms were not available for some reason.

Best advice is to book the resort/room you want to stay in as free upgrades are very rarely offered.

The only upgrades I know of people getting offered by Disney is during September for people staying at the Poly because they are now closing Tahiti which is taking Theme Park and Lagoon Views out of circulation. They are being offered Lagoon views at the GF for no price difference.
