Sunday, October 16:
breakfast: none
lunch: I was up and off to hold a spot for us in line at the ESPN Club to watch football. I got into line at 11 AM and was fourth on the "Sidelines" side, which is the bar area, first come, first served. Once the club opened, I made my way to a booth and settled in. Keith rolled in just before 1, and we watched the Giants sadly lose in overtime to Dallas (boo!). I had a bloody mary while I was waiting, then we ordered a pitcher of beer, wings and fries. We weren't that hungry so we didn't get any other food, but did get another pitcher. It was a fun time, and there were a surprising amount of Giants fans there that day (where were you guys last year when we were losing, huh? ;)) I got to talking with a very nice girl who is getting married in WDW in March '07, and they were down to meet with their wedding planner. I didn't catch her name, and from talking, I'm sure she frequents these boards, so if you're reading - Hi! it was nice talking to you during the games! :). Total here was about $60 I think, including the DVC discount (which, BTW, does not apply to liquor, so the discount basically canceled out the tax here).
We then went to MNSSHP and stayed awhile. We were able to do everything we wanted to do with no wait, and were out of there before the fireworks. We had a cinnamon pretzel from a cart in Fantasyland. These things are awesome, and a must do snack every time!
We had a private charter back to the GF where we had parked (nobody else on the little boat with us, it was so romantic!), and drove to DTD. We ate at Wolfgang Pucks, in the lounge area instead of waiting 20 minutes for a table. I had the butternut squash soup and a spinach salad, and Keith had the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla. Be warned if you get the quesadilla, it's not BBQ sauce, there's some spicy poblano sauce that it is smothered in, and it was really spicy. It kind of ruined the quesadilla, and Keith said it was his worst meal of the trip. He said it was his fault for not reading the description better, but I did read it and it didn't say anything about being smothered in a sauce.... The soup and salad, however, were wonderful, and just the right size. I really enjoyed it. With a DVC discount, the total before tip was $23.
After our late dinner, we strolled over to Pleasure Island. We toyed with the idea of going into the Adventurer's Club, but decided not to, as we were tired. So we each got a Kungaloosh! from the outside bar (they don't always have it in the machine every night, but they happened to that night, so we lucked out). They were good, but our hearts weren't in it, as we sat outside on a bench sipping at them. They're just not as good if you're not inside the Club, I guess...plus it was kind of cool out and drinking a frozen beverage was making me colder! Pleasure Island was deserted, by the way...
next up, Food & Wine Festival highlights & lowlights.

Enjoyed reading your reviews ~ Thanx for posting.

a Kungaloosh is a frozen drink that's kind of berry flavored, and I think made with rum, it's really good! they only have them at the Adventurer's Club, and they don't always sell them at their stand outside either...we got lucky that night
