Hello fellow disney lovers! We're going to be heading to Disneyland in october for my daughters 1st birthday it will be her second trip, and my 3 year old son's 4th, but it will be our first time being there for the MNSSHP:) We wont be there around any holidays and will be visisting during the week not weekend. I've heard october crowds are the smallest is this true? We are staying at Grand californian so we will have the great option of entering california adventure an hour early to get world of colour fast passes, will this give us as good of a veiwing location as booking the world of color dinner dining package at wine country tratoria? Also are the rides actually open during this hour early opening so will we get to ride Toy story mania and little mermaid with super short lines?!?!?! Ok one more question my daughter is crazy about the princesses even though she is only one she just lights up at anything Princess. What are the lines like at the Fantasy Fair at this time? they have always been so long that we've never goen to see any of the princesses. I was thinking of booking a princess lunch on my daughters birthday but we're already doing Minnie's breakfast at the plaza and a long lunch would seriously cut into our ride time! Plus my son wouldn't be too interested in the Princess lunch. Any thoughts?

Also will the lines for the princesses be shorter during the halloween party or during regular park hours during the week?

Lots of questions, you can ask on the main DL planning board too, but I'm happy to answer.

I'm not positive but I doubt Princess Fantasy Faire will be open during the Halloween party. There is so much to do during the parties spend your time elsewhere. On most days it's simply best to go first thing or during the PM parade.

October is not the quietest month. But not a bad month. It gets busier toward the end but never bad except on the party evenings.

Yes you can enter early. View wise there is little to no difference on how good the view is from a Dining package WoC show ticket or the FP distributed WoC show tickets. View depends on getting near the rails in the viewing area so you aren't standing behind someone. With such young kids this is important. Take a look at the first post and last post of the WoC superthread for details on the show.

When you enter early you can ride Little Mermaid and Soarin as well as picking up your WoC Show Tickets. Little Mermaid has a short wait most of the day also. You can also get Soaring Fastpasses. A rope drop will be set up to the other attraction such as Toy Story Midway Mania.

Plaza Inn should be fine. If she likes characters(which could be a problem at that age) a princess lunch would be nice but yes eat into ride time.

Shhh... listen to her, the most famous if not bordering infamous Madame Leota and you just might receive a reply. The madame has just recently returned from an extended European engagement. And has been gracious enough so as to accept my question for her, regarding your princess concerns;

Now please, we must have complete silence, or else she might just decided to turn us all into creepy crawlies, and toadies alike....... Silencio, por favor.....

Serpents and spiders, tail of a rat

call in the spirits wherever they're at.

Rap on a table, it's time to respond,

send us a message from somewhere beyond.

Goblins and ghoulies from last Halloween

awaken the spirits with your tambourine.

Creepies and crawlies, toads in a pond

let there be music from regions beyond.

Wizards and witches wherever you dwell

give us a hint by ringing a bell.

I see many people attending the land during the month of October. For it is a very popular month to visit. However, do not worry.... it will not take long to visit with royalty. Although during the weekends, the waiting will be quite a bit longer, however, it won't be anything that a mere mortal cannot handle, and that of any age. Now go away foolish mortal, for the spirits are becoming very restless, and I do not enjoy that kind of behavior.......
