October convention?

I think I read somewhere before that a lot of people were going to be in the park due to a teacher's convention. Anybody know about this and will it be a zoo?

Utah has a teacher's convention on Oct. 12 and 13 some schools also have Monday the 16th off for a teacher work day. We are from Utah and we are going to DL and we know lots of other families going also. I hear it is really crowded during that time from others who have been during UEA or the Utah teacher convention. Most teachers don't go to the conference they go on vaccation as they don't get any other fall break. In fact my husband is a teacher and we are headed to DL. We chose crowded and better weather than to go in the summer with crowds and heat. Sounds like all of October is going to be crowded though with the new Halloween time drawing lots of vistors. Lots of Arizona schools have Fall break during the same time as Utah's break, it sounds like a lot of people of Arizona will be there too.

I don't read anything referring to a teacher's convention during the month of October, but maybe the convention is at another location. Sorry.

In 2003 I stayed at the Hilton Anaheim during a teachers convention. All the teachers stayed at the Hilton so the Hotel was always packed (usually had to wait 20 mins just to get on the elevater ). I don't know how this affected the park attendence because we were there during the begining of Aug which is packed anyway.

Our break in Gilbert, AZ is 10/16-10/22 - not for everyone in AZ, but quite a few. We will be in Disney 10/15-10/19 - less then 2 weeks away!!!!
