October Bride - Planning Journal

Back home

Not happy to be back in the cold that is for sure :lmao:

Diane has been amazing, we got back last sunday and by Wednesday we had our BEO. Granted we did not get our floral one and still have not but  yay for Diane. In fact when we met her for out food tasting she gave us a rough idea which we were over the moon about.

We have changed a couple of things, we are only having high boy tables outside with no chairs as we do not want half out wedding party spending the night outside whilst the reception is inside. This also saves on chair covers and bows. We also cancelled our cocktail hour food. With us getting married at 5pm everyone will of had lunch so we felt it was a waste of money $26 pp as we are eating at 7.30 anyway, we were worried people would not eat their main meal!!!

For some reason Diane has booked the limo for guests from 3pm to 7pm but we only need it till 6pm (our guests are walking to reception as we want Gary to take lots of pictures of them on the beach etc) so that will save us $100. Without floral our BEO comes to $1202.34. I am over the moon with this as it means i am only just over the $10000 before tax etc min :cheer2:

I think our floral will be about $600 ish.

we havent had the chance to practise yet, my moh is so busy you have to book her in like months inn advance!! we are going to start end of april hopefully!!

Glad to hear that things went well. Everything looks so good! It also looks like it's coming together quite nicely. :woohoo:

Well fingers crossed so far so good. I feel really safe in Diane's hands so as long as the people outside of disney behave all should be well :rotfl:

Everything sounds wonderful! Your menu will be fabulous! We are also looking at that ravioli and the beef dish, so I am really glad to hear you loved it! :thumbsup2

I am having the landau coach now so you wont get to see cindy's coach but like i say you are more than welcome x

Glad everything went well on your planning session everything seemed to go well and the food looks lovely.

We have a month to go till we get our date confirmend then we plan to go disney in december for our birthdays to have a meeting session.

Hi,
I have just read all about your wedding and it sounds great. I am getting married 2nd Jan2009 and waiting for somebody to ring me about organising everything... booked it all through Kuoni and they are a bit slow.. I am considering going over to Disney to check everything out but wondered whether I could get away with not going and plan everything from here... We are only having a small wedding of 18 but still want to make sure that it is a magical day. We are stopping at the animal kingdom for 2 weeks and have booked the yacht club for the wedding and not sure about anything else... a meal and then epcot for a dessert party or cruise.....please help:grouphug: :scared: :scared: :scared:

Hi
Well congrats on the wedding. Its a loevly feeling when you get it all booked. Not long to go either, believe me the time will just fly by!!!

Disney are great, they sort everything out for you so a visit is not really to important especially with an escape wedding (ours is wishes as we have to many guests for escape!!)

I am not to sure how things will work with your booking your wedding through a tour operator but either way the finished product will be the same....magical!!

Here is the address to my dress pictures so feel free to have a look http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1758264

If you have any questions etc let me know, we sat and worked out the other day that our wedding trip will be my 14th trip to disney so my head is full of info :rotfl:

Quite a lot considering I am not having any actual flowers !!! :confused3

If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask.

I have also looked into the grand Floridian spa as I am staying the night before my wedding with my sister so I thought it would be lovely to walk to the spa in the morning for some pampering.
There is a manicure and pedicure package for $80.00 (from memory) so myself and six others are going to book ourselves in.
Has anyone been to the Grand Floridian Spa?

Does anyone have any breakfast ideas. The girls and I thought it would be nice to have a later breakfast (10am) together to get the day off to a nice start. Any recommendations would be appreciated. We are hoping to eat and the grand Floridian as we will already be there but the Polynesian or contemporary would be fine as we could get the monorail.

budget looks great ours is 12997 with flowers! and we only have 18 people so you did really well!

We are going to the spa the day before our wedding! dont forget you get a discount with your annual pass!

What cake did you go for? what meal did you go for?

:yay: on your BEO! Look like you did well!

1900 park fare is a fun breakfast! Characters included-last time we went it was Mary Poppins/Alice in wonderland/ pooh/tigger.

Kona Cafe is quieter-over at the poly, I've only done dinner there but I hear it has a yummy breakfast!

We are not using our annual passes. Mad you may say, and i do agree but we had purchased our 14 day tickets before we knew we got free tickets. Also we needed the 14 day tickets to get our free disney dining!!
I think its a great excuse for us to go back next year to use the tickets

We have Mushroon pasta with chick broth to start, then ceasar salad, then chick breast and fillet steak with blackberry Dem on Mushroom risotto ......i am getting hungry now!!! For desert with have the choc cinderella slipper.

The cake is sparkling wishes three tier. First tier is choc sponge with milk choc filling, second is lemon drizzle cale and the third is marble sponge with baileys filling.

How are your wedding plans coming along, i can not believe how quickly the time has gone for us.
