I couldn't get my TPV for the Poly, but the CM said they had Garden view rooms for my dates.

Does it really matter whether the GP or AP discount comes out first, though? I've been trying to figure out if the GP is just left with the rooms that APers haven't already taken once the GP discount comes out... or does Disney release a new batch of rooms for the GP once that discount is announced? If the latter is true, I don't see how the release date of either code would matter since each discount only pertains to an allotted number of rooms. Is this wrong?

I don't know the answer to your question, but the only reason I mentioned it is that AP holders were complaining that the last few times, the AP rates were released after the GP rate. It simply stands to reason that if more rooms get booked with the rate released first, there will be fewer rooms available for the rate released later. While Disney can "release" more rooms for the latter discount, if there aren't enough physical rooms, they can't make more.
