October A&E/SDMT FP+ Cancellation Thread

Aww missed it!! How do you guys search for these? I've never seen any open...not even single ones. Do you try to create a "new" fastpass but not actually confirm the cancellation of your current ones? Or do you change on of your current fast passes?

You would need to have a single person FP to search. So for example, if you all have the same FP go in and adjust time. Then uncheck all but one person and change the one person to an overlapping but different time. That way if you don't find something they can still ride with you but it allows you to search for a single fast pass for something else. If you can find multiple overlaps you can search multiple singles and slowly replace.

I search multiple times everyday since I have at least one person with a single FP in our group just to see what's out there. I have seen usually 0-2 come up in my searches everyday for A&E and SDMT but I would say I see SDMT less in my searches. If you see a less than optimal time get it anyway and keep searching to see if a replacement time comes up or post to trade.

Best of luck to everyone. I recently had to try to get my son an A&E that overlapped with my DD(he didn't have one originally). After searching I found a late night one in the morning and by that afternoon I found an over lapping time (we leave in about 2 weeks). It can be done but it's endless searching and dumb luck!

I have 3 FP to FOF Parade on 10/14. I would like to trade for 3 FP to MSEP at 11 on 10/12. I have dessert party at 9:00. I also have 3 FP 7DMT on 10/14 that I am willing to throw in these are at 11:30 AM.

THanks! Very helpful. On the app... if I select to change my single that has the overlapping time, it says it's searching for "another selection from 1:30-2:30pm" for example. Will it only show the fastpasses available at that time specifically? Seems like searching on the app is so different, but I'm not always on my computer during the day.

The app will actually search the entire day, even though it says it is only checking during your existing return window. Unlike checking online, however, the app will put you into the closest time to your existing fast pass when available, and then you would need to modify the time yourself. This is different than searching online, when you immediately get a list of all available times for the new attraction.

Sorry, I don't have experience with the app. Frankly, I don't trust it. I've heard of too many people randomly loosing things when using it. Also, when I did try to use it the app didn't find my existing FP so I couldn't modify them anyway. I have read that the app doesn't play nice with the iphone4/old iOS which is what I have (I refuse to update to iOS8). I know in the regular system there are two ways to search; either for a different time for the same attraction or for another attraction. When you click another attraction you can preview then chose a different available time then you would need to click update to replace the existing FP. Hope this helps.

Also, be aware that if you are trying for CRT dinning reservations or others that require payment upfront that the app cannot be used.
