October A&E/SDMT FP+ Cancellation Thread

Looking to trade A&E 3:20-4:20 (1) and 3:40-4:40 (2) for any combination of overlapping tickets that START after 4pm on 10/26.

We are wanting to book MNSSHP and have been told (by Disney so who really knows if it is true in action or just what is supposed to be) that if the FP window STARTS before 4pm, then they will not be available for use even though we will be there within the window.

Ok, a little off topic but I wonder if that's true? I booked our first FP's for us on our party night for 3:30-4:30 since I figured we could get there by 4:30...I guess we'll see. I figure even if we miss it (it's for Belle) we can go during the party if we have too to avoid a long wait.

I would check the Fastpass thread first before changing your plans. This is the first I'm ever hearing of this.

On that thread they've said that I should be able to use them, but I had called Disney about it because we were trying to figure out what exactly would happen before we bought MNSSHP non-refundable tickets (trying to figure out that particular day or if we needed another day).

We don't know 100% for sure we could use them. It's for Anna and Elsa too, and we've not been able to get those for any other day at all.

We figured, since it's even a question, if we could get them moved then it was better to be safe.

I am releasing 3 fp for tomorrow,10-5, 1:30-2:30 for SDMT. We were covered in pixie dust tonight and were given a fp for any ride we wanted to use it on, so we went on SDMT! Now we can go to the park later and not be too worn out for MNSSHP! Hopefully someone on here gets these! Pixie dust is everywhere! I am releasing them as soon as I'm done typing!

I'm pretty sure you will be able to use those FPs! You will be in the park after 4, your window spans after 4, I don't think there's an issue here. Disney does not actively advertise park entrance beginning at 4, since the party technically begins at 7, so perhaps that's why the CM told you they wouldn't work? But many, many folks have reported the ability to use 3 FPs on a party day with just their party ticket, and since return windows end at 6:30 those days, the first one would have to start before 4! Certainly I understand wanting to rather be safe than sorry since it's A&E, but you shouldn't have an issue here. When you scan your band at the entrance of the FP line, it's just checking to make sure you're within your window, not what kind of ticket you have or when you entered the park! Also, lines to meet A&E have been much shorter during the parties, especially later in the evening, so that would be another option for you as well.

There was another thread started on this since someone did have a problem. It seems like it was because they only had MNSSHP paper tickets. Since they didn't have RFID cards or bands they couldn't be scanned into the ride via their fastpasses. Moral of the story is make sure your FP are linked to your magic band or ticket so you can scan and they won't notice.
