It's so soon!!!

I will be at the 10:00 pm meet up on day one. Probably can drag DH with me, unless he's too tired.

Some groups wear or carry something lime green, for the Disboards. Anyone planning to do that? I have a lime green boa (Hobby lobby), but I don't want to wear it if I'll be the only one---DORK!

But, I could bring it and drape it over my chair to indicate where to meet, or I'm open to other ideas.

Can't wait.

I say bring it as a marker I'll have to see if I have anything lime green. Trust me, you are NOT the only dork on board - I'd come in a close second!

Just about this time next week we will be getting ready to leave the Magic Kingdom and walk back to BLT for a fitful nights sleep. Who can sleep well when you know the next morning you will be boarding one of the most wonderful ships of the Disney fleet. "I'm too excited to sleep"

I've been lurking for awhile now, and my mom said I should just go ahead and make an account to keep up to date. We're first time cruisers but long time Disney World-ers (six times as of last year). So any tips would be appreciated!
Can't wait for the cruise! Less than a week! Ah

We have early seating I believe. I don't think we've checked out the FB page yet but I'm not really on facebook much anymore, I'll have my mom take a look

This will be our 2nd cruise - only tips I can offer is just have fun, the personal navigator is your best friend and make labels with your address to give out to people you may want to keep in touch. This will be our first time in the Dream and first cruise without our children - nervous and excited : ) See you at Sea

I was wondering if anyone from this cruise might post some photos of their navigator (if they kept it)? We will be cruising in a couple of weeks, and although I've heard they change things weekly, I'd still love to see a recent one.

Less than 24 hours now!

So everyone has complete the cruise and I'm glad to see so many of you have a great time. Unfortunately, our group didn't. Tuesday morning my wife woke up and didn't want to go to breakfast. By the time I got back she was already ill. My son was next, by mid afternoon I had fallen victim, with my daughter in law and oldest granddaughter last. The only one to escape was the 5 month old granddaughter. We completely missed Castaway Cay and all the Pirate activities. We never left ours rooms until late morning on Wednesday so we skipped the meetings because we didn't want to take the chance on anyone catching what we had. We did inform guest services and they did offer medical advice and help if we needed it but by the time I was well enough to call I was feeling better. Most of us were out of commission for around 14 hours and probably spent 24 hours in our cabin. So basically we got the cruise ship virus, I think they call it the Norwalk virus. The one observation we all made was the baby was they only one not exposed to the ship food, so is it possible a food worker on the ship is a carrier? I was much more alert after that for comments among passengers about not feeling well. I did notice some empty tables on the last night and the crew had to clean up two "accidents" in our dinning room that same night. In the hall way just down from our cabin I heard a comment about a wife not feeling well. I did leave some remakes on our comment card and have sent email to DCL Guest Services. I will be interested in whether DCL follows up on our illness. Did anyone else get sick or did you hear of anyone else? Thanks, sorry we missed you.

BradisGoofy, sorry to hear about your time! I also overheard a wife telling her husband that she wasn't feeling well, and a few others inquiring if there was an infirmary on board. So you are not alone!

Luckily, neither I nor my family fell sick on our first cruise.



On another note: Just wanted to say how amazing the cruise and staff were and how I can't wait to hopefully do a Disney Cruise again in the future! Amazing service and the ship is simply beautiful!
