I haven't been keeping up with the boards - life got in the way! Allen and Cale, I am so sorry to hear of your accident but happy to hear you are both recovering well. I hope to get the chance to meet you in October. Prayers and Pixe Dust......

PhilKY, I also have a DD12 who is glad to hear of another on board. It's a tough age - I hope she likes the lab. She has two older DB'ers who will be living in the Stack I am sure so she will be looking to meet friends.

I am a bit worried because no documents have come to our house..... I will call in a few days if I don't get anything. Having never cruised before I am already losing sleep thinking about the packing and what could go wrong - for some reason I just keep thinking this trip isn't really going to happen - doesn't seem like a reality - I sure hope it does though!!!!!

PS Allen, the bracelets arrived the other day - My DD12 actually wanted to wear it to school, she is so excited. I convinced her not to though, (good thing, since I haven't sent my letter to the school telling them I am taking all 3 of our kids off on a cruise and they will miss 3 days - Holiday and teacher planning day on the other 2 days - ugh). That is definitely on the agenda to do tomorrow - time is getting short!

I can't believe we're under three weeks everyone!!

Allen and Cale, I'm praying for you and your family. I know that first and foremost they want you healthy and whole. I also know how disappointed we would be if we couldn't take this trip together. I am going to pray that the sea air and a week of pampering is what the doctor orders.

I went to pick my travel documents up from the travel agent yesterday. They were closed!! Oh well, I guess I should listen to the whole message on the answering machine before dashing out. She did mention something about shorter hours on Saturday. I must have been a little anxious!

Allen, we too got our bracelets! The kids are so excited. I had to hide them. I knew if I didn't they would never make it to Port Canaveral!

I started my packing list last night. That made it seem very real! How, after months of devouring every morsel of information I can get my hands on, can I feel like I have no idea what to pack? I just know I'm going to forget something.

My husband flies home from Englnd tomorrow! He's been gone since the fourth. Did I mention we are ready for this cruise?

By the way, Yea! for a DIS meet!

Thoughts on a dismeet:

1. We could plan and time and place to all meet for the sailaway party. It starts at 430 at the goofy pool. It's a lot of fun. Last time we watched it from deck 10 looking down. There's were several kids near us dancing around so cute. Or meet somewhere on deck 9.

2. Our cruise last year meet at the Promenade lounge after the deck party. They have a band playing in there. The only problem with this last time was for early diners. They were rushing around.

3. We could plan a time before the fireboat drill near one of the pools (goofy or micky). Maybe Scoops where everyone could get ice cream and meet each other. I'm not sure what time everyone plans to board. We'll be around as soon as they let us. We plan to arrive by the time the port opens.

Any other suggestions?

Hello all from SC! Just found this board thanks to Dolph16....Have never been on a Disney cruise and we are sooooo excited....Myself- 36, DH 32, DD 11 (closer to 12) and DD 4 (almost 5) will be going....Hope to meet some of you!!

Barbara -- our documents just arrived on Friday! Don't worry -- but I'm worried too, about forgetting to pack something vital that will cost us an arm and a leg to acquire while we're there......but will just cross that bridge when I come to it.

Our son is 9 (10 in February) -- any sports nuts kids from 8 - 10 who'd like to meet up with David? He wanted to bring his football on board -- until I pointed out that if they overthrew a pass on the cruise ship, it would be a goner......

Glad you found this group. I had emails "removed" from the other board when I tried to tell you specifically how to get here so you could meet this rowdy crew. Very frustrating I put BigRed1 on the task and he found you!!! Whatever happened to free press/speech anyway....maybe the other board is being monitored from a communist country.
We are flying in to Orlando the morning of the cruise. Just heard from my DH on his deployment, they may be later than expected coming home (originally due back the 2nd). Makes me very nervous... everyone keep your fingers crossed.

napfam5!! I got your email and have you added to the list. If you read back a few post, maybe you saw where I have some dis green wristbands. I have 6 or 7 left (no charge) but I think it's to late to mail them. It sounds like we will have a dis-meet at Scoops after the life boat drill, and I will have them with me then if I have any left. First come first served!! Or maybe we’ll see you at the Radisson!!!!!

Sending pixie dust for Keith's timely return!! Will he fly his own aircraft home? The boards are generally sponsored by a travel company of some kind. The Disney Cruise Line part of the Dis-Boards is sponsored by Dreams Unlimited Travel. (look at the top banner). I have seen the names of some of Dreams competitors look like this - ******** but I have never known them to outright delete a post with a competitors name in it. However, they do pay large amounts of money for computer equipment and web hosting for us to be able to have these boards. So, Thanks Dreams for letting us play, we won't talk about those other guys to much!!

Just to let everyone know Scoops is now Goofy's Gallery. Didn't want anyone to be confused if this is where we meet once on board. The ice cream is now self-serve but they also offer fruit, sandwiches, and wraps.

I looked up some navigators from May on the website that can't be named here. It looks like Goofy's Gallery is opened from noon - 330pm and then from 430-11pm. The sail away party is 430-515pm. No one should miss the sail-away party. It's a lot of fun and a great way to start off the cruise.

It might be better to meet before the liftboat drill at like 230 or 3pm??? Or we could meet somewhere around 415pm near the goofy pool for the sailaway party?

Before the drill or for the sail away party sounds great to me. I was wondering how I was going to keep my 4 year old from loading up on ice cream right before dinner if we met at scoops at 4:30... But what the heck, we're on vaction right??? Whatever the group decides is fine with us. We are just looking forward to meeting everyone.

BigRed, not sure if he will be flying a jet home or coming on the transport plane. He flew a jet over on the way there. I told him to do whichever option gave him the best chance of being here in time for the cruise! Swim if he has to....
