:badpc: Y'all caught me off my game because I've been at school all day :teacher: (and will be there all weekend....:sad2: )

But I'm officially letting you know I am back in the numbers game. :rotfl2:

BigRed1, did you hear from Heir&Spare that we have 6 new cruisers from our town??? She has their email address for you!

M&M64, enjoy your last days of freedom. party: The end is near...... :teacher:

I just want to chime in with the other teachers. I report Tuesday. I guess dreaming of cruising will help us survive the first weeks of school, right??

Hi!
Anyone there who can tell me the best way to get from orlando airport to the Radisson at the Port.
No need for limo's. A shuttle bus or something will do nicely.... :thumbsup2

While we have never used any transportation of this nature, here are a few url's of a transportation companies I have seen discussed by different people here on the DIS. DISCLAIMER: I have never done buisness with nor do I endorse any of these companies. :teeth:

http://www.fltours.com/ a Dis-board sponsor

I found this on Port Canaveral's web site... http://www.portcanaveral.org/portinfo/groundtrans.htm
Most of these companies have towncars and vans as well as limos. Some others may have more suggestions also.

Thanks for the info I have been looking at our best options also. Maybe, coming in earlier than Friday still working on that. :sunny: :sunny:

For those looking at transportation from MCO to PC on friday. We found it's cheaper to rent from Budget then to do a shuttle. Last sept. we used Budget for my dh and I. We rented a one way car and it was $54. It was nice to get down to PC and be able to go eat dinner somewhere and go to Publix to get drinks for the cruise.

This time we have 8 people coming down. So we rented two SUVs from Budget. It was still cheaper for us to rent then to do a shuttle to PC on friday.

Just another option for those looking.

I have added them to the list and will mail it out in a couple of days. I am waiting to see if she registers and gets a DIS name..Come on and jump in with us Barbara! We are under 9 weeks!!

Been very quiet for a couple of months. Tore my miniscus in my left knee 10 days before our Alaska cruise, I did okay but had to bring me home in a wheel chair. Got operated on last Tuesday and I'm progressing well. My DW's sister and DH are going thru wedding plans for thier DD and are stressed. They decided to go on vacation to Williamsburg and wanted us to go. I don't like the area so we convinced them to go to WDW. Aug 21st-28th, we managed to get a 2BR at Saratoga Springs on short notice, I was impressed. That will help get us thru the long wait for our cruise. DW is still a little nervous about a B2B but we are now seriously on a lose a few lbs before the cruise crusade. I lost 1 lb on the Alaska cruise and 11 lbs since. I did get down to 175 for my DD wedding in 2004, they got my wedding pants and they didn't fit so I had to really work on losing and I can't do any walking or exercising because of a car accident. Down to 184 now, 5 more lbs before we leave. :dance3: :grouphug:

:We are all Disney related anyway...so why not pirately!!! You decide on a pirate name yet???
:earsboy: Ain't that the truth, you are soooo right!

pirate: Ahoy mateys. We finally came up with our pirate names.

me (Sharon) pirate: Calico Jill Rackham
DH (Allen) pirate: Calico Jack Rackham
DS (Robby) pirate: Calico Jackson Rackham
DS (Jeremy) pirate: Calico Kraken Rackham
DS (Jameson) pirate: Calico Kydd Rackham

The boys are excited about this "Pirate Party" that we're going to on our vacation. It is getting more difficult to keep the cruise secret from them as the time gets closer. As of today it's only two more months so I hope I can contain myself and not let it slip out for the next 8 1/2 weeks. :lmao:

I just want to check...anyone going for some serious pirate outfits? I have found some really great patterns and am planning on making a special pirates dress. ( yes I know, but I like that kind of stuff pirate: )
But ehhh, I don't want to be the only one there making a total fool of herself...
I might need some support in this,...since Jaap isn't going to...He probably won't even walk next to me!

Bye Ankh01![/QUOTE]

ABSOLUTELY! I have a chemise, black brocade vest with red laces, bright red skirt and actual BLOOMERS! After all, Red Christina Flint has to look the part. Barnacle Bill (aka Glenn) will be wearing a red vest, black pirate shirt and flaming head scarf! Finally, "Crocodile Dave" will be wearing a crocodile head hat, vest and pirate shirt.

I truly hope you will come in costume, or our family will stick out like a very sore thumb -- but I love dressing in costume and don't want to miss this chance!

:wave2: Hi all -
I am the family from MA that Allen mentioned in a previous post - I FINALLY registered and can no longer be considered a lurker! :surfweb:

Along with my DH I will be cruising with DS-15, DS-13 and DD-12. We are anxiously awaiting our cruise - our first ever. Today I signed up for a Nativeway R,R & R excursion in GC and we might do the Fury Sail in Cozumel. Do any of you know if we will be in Key West long enough to enjoy the sunset from Mallory Square? I have "heard" conflicting reports about when we are scheduled to leave KW. Thanks for any info. and I am excited to be meeting you all soon! :cheer2:
-Barbara

Well I had to get up early to get dh up to catch a flight. After he left I got on DCL's website to look at our reservation and decided to do our online forms. It's so much easier then doing all those handwritten forms like we did back last year. Now I'm really ready to go!!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

:wave2: Hi Barbara, and welcome (officicially) to the boards. Glad to see your joining us for the cruise. We're doing the Fury Sail in Cozumel. Disney cruise cast members told me that one is very popular and usually fill up early. Also you might want to see if your teen sons would be interested in the Wild Side at Castaway Cay. I have twin sons turning 14 on the cruise and I have them signed up for that one. Of course they don't know about it yet because they don't even know we are going on a cruise. :rotfl2: They have never been on a cruise and I know they will be ecstatic about both being on a cruise and the Wild Side excursion when they find out about it.

Hi!

I'm new here. Sorry, I haven't read all the posts in this thread yet. Just got excited when I saw this. We're sailing on the Disney Magic on 10/7/06 W. Carib. Am I in the right place? It would be great to meet you all.

My DH and I sailed on the Magic before we were married. I won this cruise! Now we're doing it again with our young kids this time: 3 y.o. and infant (will be 10 mos). Paying for it ourselves this time. It'll also be our 5th wedding anniversary. We're excited.

Any travel tips would be appreciated!

I guess I should get caught up on posts...

Welcome Aboard!! :boat: Glad to see you come out of lurker mode. Lately, the Magic has been leaving KW around 10:30. I don't remember if that is eastern or central time. But I hear all aboard is 7:30 or something. It changes periodically for some reason. :confused3 I'll see if I can find a recent navigator for KW day. I wouldn't bother reading all of the post. It doesn't get interesting till about page 6 or 7. Ask any questions you have. Someone here maybe able to help and if we can't we'll find someone that can! Less than 60 days!!!

:welcome: aboard!! You are in the right place as far as we are concerned. You might not think so after a while! :lmao: Don't bother reading all the post. Like I told mousemo, it doesn't get interesting until page 6 or 7. Congrats on the anniversary. Sorry you didn't make a cruise while the Magic was on the west coast. I would like to do a repo cruise some day. Anyway,
I have a "list" going for this cruise. This is totally optional. None of us will think any less of anyone who chooses not to participate in the list. Every time someone joins in or there are any corrections made to the list, I will e-mail everyone on the list a new list. The list contains some or all of the following information:

-DIS-name
-E-mail address
-First names, ages if desired, and Occupation of adults
-Pirate Name (if you like...see link in signature)
-First names and ages of children (so the children will know if there are others their age)
-Dining session
-Stateroom #
-Hometown
-Where you are staying night B4 cruise
-Special occasion to be celebrated during cruise (if any)

If there is any info you don't know yet, you can leave it off, and add it later.
If you would like to be included on the list, pm me or e-mail using the link in my signature and I will add you to the list! I send the list attached as a Word document and I scan it for viruses every time. If you want to participate and require a different format, let me know and I will try to accommodate you.

Also, if you read back a few pages, you will see some post about wristbands. If you are interested in the wristbands, just pm or email me your snail mail address and I will mail them to you. Sorry to throw a lot at you at one time, but time is running out!!!! Less that 60 days now! Jump right in and get going. More later, gotta go.
Allen
