and pick-up from the cleaners. and pick up from the tailors. and finish laundry here. and finish door magnets. and get out the suitcases. and finish arrangements for daughters transportation while we're away. and finalize room res in Orlando for 10/05.

Woo Hoo! Our Cruise Docs finally came They were waiting for me when I got home from picking the kids up at school.

DH has been reading and researching the cruise all day --- I think he is really starting to get in to cruise mode

I have stacks of clothes everywhere - just waiting to go into the suitcase - just a couple of more random things to buy

Congrates on getting those docs. Sounds like everyone is getting those last minute details pulled together. I know what cha mean about clothes everywhere. My dinning room table has not been seen in weeks. I keep telling myself that getting there is half the fun.

I did repost my question on the main board...as I said on there, I have traveled many places in the world and I have never had to pay to use a beach. But I have never been to the Caribbean and it could very well be different there. Or it could just be a matter of "you get what you pay (or don't pay!) for."

The reason I brought it up is that I asked my husband if he thought we should book something like this. He also has traveled a lot (including the Caribbean) and he does not believe it is necessary. For example, he said Seven Mile Beach is beautiful and that a good cab driver should know exactly where to take us if we ask, and it should not have to cost a penny to lay your blanket out and use the sand and water. I know if you want a place with nice chairs, umbrella, water toys, etc., you would need to look at something like a resort beach. But with the white sand and crystal blue waters, is there such a thing as a "bad beach" in Grand Cayman? I don't know.

I'm so jealous that everyone is receiving their cruise docs! We called and DCL sent them to our TA on Sept. 19. They should have received them by now and I hope to receive them by the end of the week. We booked with an online agent so it is not a local one I could just drive up to and beg to get them....but I would be tempted to if I could!

You don't have to pay to use the beach in Cayman. It is just a charge if you want a chair and yet more for umbrella. In cayman, if you ask to go to Cemetary Beach or Public Beach you can lay out your towel for free. Only cost is taxi. After our excursion is over that is what we are going to do.

Another option is Royal Palms

In Mexico Mr. Sancho's is free. You're right. Cab drivers will know.

Don't get me started on weather or I'll probably scare everyone to death! I'm already looking at the flhurricane site keeping track of the waves coming off the African coast. There is a good one coming off now. I'll try to drive myself crazy in private.....

What is the Princess Gathering? Is it where all the "princess" characters meet for photo ops, or where the kids dress up as princesses or what?

NEXT WEEK PEOPLE...NEXT WEEK! We are almost down to single digits! I am on single digits for being off work..but 10 for travelling..does it still count? Well, I don't care... I am counting it!! WOO HOO!

I'm busy with last minute internet shopping. I'll do the last minute regular shopping this weekend or next week. I get this feeling I'm going to need to buy another suitcase - LOL! If I didn't have to schlep the cases I wouldn't worry so much about it but we do have to get them from the airport to the hotel on Friday.

I was thinking of doing DME (to All-Stars) for me and the kids and the suitcases and just let DH pick up the rental car and meet us at the hotel. Think that would work? I guess if some suitcase didn't show up we wouldn't know it until late Friday night....only downside I see to that plan.

I was trying to talk our sons' school nurse on our cruise - she is interested- LOL! This late the airfare is a kicker though - biggest downside for her I think.
