:rotfl2: i don't think they approve of naked on board, course i've never been, but seeing as it is disney, and loads of kids, i think u better wait for your clothes.:rotfl2: yes, it is sneaking up on us, and DD ordered the lice screen, thank goodness, i don't want to be itching in any area, especially the wrong ones.:rotfl: i have had allergys to some fabric softeners, and that's no picnic either. i can imagine how bad it would be:scared1: count down can't believe it's getting so close. look out world here we come! :woohoo:

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :offtopic: :teacher:
DS 15 just came home from first day of school...and in a Baaaaddddd mood. Said somebody stole his lunch money out of his locker...isn't that a nice beginning to a new school year? He's also in an accelerated history class and is fussing about all the work they are planning for him...guess he thought advanced meant no work!!?? :scared: But I tried to reassure him that he can do it. But during the cruise he will have to make sure he doesn't fall behind! That could be catastrophic for an advanced course.

On a good note..we are definitely getting closer..do need to order our buttons.. got to get my people's opinion on which button they want to order. DGM probably won't care too much...she says she isn't as excited as DM and I are..but I figure that is because she doesn't get to talk to you all on here! :hippie: Disboards...really :disrocks: ! Everyone here really helps to make the planning so much more special... OK! ENOUGH WARM AND FUZZY!! We got a cruise to plan for here! :cool2: :rolleyes1

Laura...you plan all you want for the tastings...whenever is fine with us. And if you movers and shakers can get a drink of the day tasting...well, so much for the better!
You already know we will have two for the marguarita's..and as for rum..well, my DM told me that rum is a fairly strong tasting booze and my booze buds are sensitive so I don't know how that would go over..but I could join the group and give away my stuff... OK, who wants it?:coffee:  I have an idea...I give you my rum booze and you give me your marguarita booze? Who wants a trade?(and I mean the marguaritas -not the tequila shots(better known as to-kill-ya shots)

  :headache:

Well, I think I have taken up more than my fair share of this place and I will turn it over to the rest of you! ;) :lmao: :goodvibes

I am so happy we have an active thread! It really does make it more fun to plan, and once we are on board, it will be even better! (Not like we are all hanging together 24/7, just enough to make it fun!) As I always say....

And for the record Tequilla is MUCH MUCH stronger tasting than Rum. Rum blends in with those fruity drinks so well, you dont even know what hits you until a couple of drinks later..... :thumbsup2 :dance3: :thumbsup2

We still need to fill in the blanks below. I would like to get started on the group 'maps' :woohoo:

ok ok I guess I will have to taste it (rum) for myself...and I have mentioned that straight to-kill-ya is not my cup of tea..but marguaritas are right up my alley!!

AND.... weird..you are calling us weird? pirate: I saw you lurking on another thread(or two) asking for people's pictures...messin' with hair! (for $80 I might add... :scared1: :scared1: )

First of all I didn't Lurk I SOLICIATED :lmao:

I sure hope it's closer to $40 than $80. Regardless I am doing it. And you bet your sweet bippy I will take 587 pictures of it from every angle to post here on the DIS :scared1:

Second... Think about it, would you rather be strange or weird? I prefer weird myself (should I make a poll?)

We still need to fill in the blanks below. I would like to get started on the group 'maps' :woohoo:

Whoops! I guess I forgot about this! We are:

Eeyorefreak-2574 Shannon, DH Pete, DS Sam (4).
My parents, Mike and Linda are in room 5634.

We are going to be staying at Pop Century Wed-Sat before the cruise and then at POR Sat thru Tues after the cruise.

Shannon

I added you :-)

My girl friend came over today, so I tried on a few outfits for her. Now I am more confused than ever :lmao:

I also peeked at our luggage. I was thinking I would need to buy a new set, but I think I can work with what we have. If those darn Up-dos are indeed $80 bucks then for sure I rather do that than buy MORE luggage. :rotfl: (gosh I sure hope it's NOT $80 lol)
So we will be the mis matched luggage gang :dance3:

But a BIG YAY that I am even looking at the actual luggage!!!

I'm still here! I started kindergarten this past Monday....er.....I mean my 5 year old started kindergarten this past Monday. He has type 1 diabetes and a peanut allergy and it has really been a difficult week of adjustment. He *loves* school thankfully and it all went well for him but to make it work I was at the school about the entire day helping them figure out how to take care of him (he cannot recognize his lows very often). I'm hoping to slowly be able to spend a bit more time at home cause I'm really behind in my housework - much less cruise planning!

I'm in for the margarita tasting - I guess put down just one of us (me) so we can be sure that one of us can come! I suppose worst case scenario I can pay for it and let you guys drink mine if I can't come right?:sad1: My husband would go for a beer tasting if anyone is planning that too. On a sea day I'm guessing so we know we're not gonna be off the boat!

I have to catch up on the posts. I hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend!

As far as the 'tasting times' from looking at past Navagators they seem to be held around 2ish on sea days. Now I beleive we have a large enough group, that I bet I could arrange a private tasting for us all through Concierge. We have several Concierge families on this cruise, we should use that to everyone's advantage! :lmao:

DW & Dsis are wanting to join you at the Magarita Tasting ........... :woohoo:

Hi Time! Please email me your DW and Dsis info at UsedtobeSmith@aol.com

Thanks!

I hope everyone is enjoying this fine Labor day Weekend! I want to hit the shops for the last of the summer things, but DH has this weekend filled with GOLF! Maybe later tonight he will let me out for the hunt...

Can you all beleive, it's almost a month until we go... Gosh, I can't wait to start packing!

Hi everyone,

It's been a long time since I posted, but we have had all sorts of medical emergencies with my mom (trips to the ER, several surgeries, and other such things that have made our lives "interesting"). And now because of her medical conditions, she's living w/me and DH, so I've had to find caretakers for our vacation.

Anyway, I've missed everyone (Relly, so sorry about your gma; that poor lady has a rough road ahead), and feel like I have a lot of catching up to do.

Laura, is it too late to include DH and me in the tastings (and we don't care what they are, either)? We are sooooo in if not! :woohoo:

Now to catch up on the badges, excursions, and all the other fun planning that has been on the back burner since page 34! Sure hope we can book something (any ideas for 2 folks who are old enough to have grown kids to do on Cozumel?).

Oh, and for the record, my update:

((Joanne)) Sorry to hear about your mom. Have you found a caretaker yet? ((hugs))

Glad to hear your up for some drinking :lmao: I will add you two to the lists...

In Cozumel, for adults.. Have you checked online to see what DCL excruisions are availble? You can also book things once on board.

We are doing the dolphin encounter at Chank Park. There are links to photos of the park in the second post on this thread.. maybe the first... lol That's a nice place to hang out for a relaxing day. Not as busy busy as Paradise Beach. Plus other things to do like snorkle, some faux ruins to explore. I know there are many of us heading there for the day. :-) Plus it's easy to get to on your own.

Other than that, I suggest going to cruisecritic.com, near the top is BOARDS click that, and look around for Ports of Call. Great info there on Grand Cayman too.

ONE month from TODAY we leave for WDW (and my birthday woot woot)

Which means... very very very soon I can START PACKING!!!! :woohoo:

sorry that your mother is having such a hard time. i hope she is doing better as she goes along. :goodvibes it's too bad she has run into trouble. i hope u have an easy time, finding someone to take care of her so your trip with all of us can be more relaxed. so far it seems we r a fun group, looking for an r-r and entertainment on the wide ocean.:rotfl: sounds like some of you need to have a get-away from all the cares and woes more than the rest of us. looking forward to some good times with all of you.:cheer2: :cheer2:just around the corner now. start packing and we'll see u there:yay: :yay:

Hey all you GTY peeps! I have seen some people on the 9/20 cruise are getting their cabin assignments so keep a look out for yours!

Sending pixie dust for big upgrades for everyone! :wizard:

I finally feel like I can start moving my secret stash of cruise stuff into one place and start organizing. It's now hiding in a Michael's bag pretending to be scrapbooking supplies! :rotfl: Work on my formal dress continues. I've learned to make darts *ugh* and gathers. I've gotten my underwater camera, but think maybe I should get two :confused3 my sharpies for autographs, read up on sealice *eeewww* Somehow I still have a list a mile long!

I wanted to get a couple of opinions, please. For the Dolpin encounter and all that at the park, what are y'all doing about cash? Cash for the taxies and once you're there and all. It occurs to me that they may not take American $$ so I wanted to see what y'all thought. Also, when are y'all going to start confirming your excursions? I suppose a month out is too far?!! :lmao:

I can't wait for vacation! I'm just counting down the days too. I follow Laura's little vacation ticker because I don't want one on my siggie for fear of vacation spies, and when it was off for several day I kept checking back like a crazy person. Now I realize, of course, I could have just looked at the calender if I was that worried about it! :rotfl:

Happy day to everyone.

Thanks for the good wishes, Laura and rdy_mom. It has been a tough period for all of us, especially my mom. We think my sister from NY and brother from MO will be able to cover things while we're gone; if not, we'll try to find respite care at one of the local facilities (keeping my fingers crossed...and toes, and eyes, and ....).

We're thinking we may try to get a taxi to one of the beaches on Cozumel; still researching to see which one would suit us best. We did book a couples massage on Castaway Cay. You have no idea how unusual this is for us! My kids were astounded, but we decided to treat ourselves after the major stresses of the past several months.

I've started shopping; packing can't be far off!!

Lauren, they have lockers at Chank... Also I beleive the cabs and such take american dollars. We will take Disney transport TO chank and most likely our own cab back.

I have to look and see if they take Credit cards for the Video and photos, and will post here when I find out :-)

Sending lots of hugs and happy thoughts your way...Believe me, I know it helps!

Thanks for your kind words as well.

Our waitlist to move from Late to Main dining came in today :cool1:
Our 6yr old will be much happier now.
