**@@** October 6th, 2007 Magic**@@**

I think I posted this before but we will be in room 6603. I don't know if that is port/aft or what. It is an inside cabin.

MIL/FIL will be in 6602
SIL/BIL, DD 5, DD 1.5 in 6601

PrincessBTS will be in 6611
Her DM will be in 6610
Her DB will be in 6613

I love seeing the map of our DISboard friends!!!!

I will add you to the 'map' in a bit. I thought it would be cool to see where everyone is located on the ship. A handy guide. Right before the cruise I want to print it out for reference. rofl

Ok the kids are taking me on a bike ride/picnic, got to fly...

How was everyone's mothers day?

My kids made me the greatest crafts! I love kids crafts! lol And like I mentioned we all took a bike ride in the forest and had a picnic. Oh and yard work rofl

I also spent part of Mother's day planning the cruise. I think I have all the major details planned... I picked out 3 massages but might give one up for Palo brunch. Tough call. lol

I Do think the first meet should be at 3pm. That gives us time to get on the ship, eat, check out our staterooms, change dinning etc, then a 30ish minute meet before the life boat drill. The big question is WHERE. It could be HOT... but I am still leaning towards deck 10... We could meet at other places like diversions or preludes or something inside. I will look more into 'indoor' places this week.

Thoughts?

Gosh I am posting just WAY TOO much!!! LOL

BUT I found this great link to photos of Chankanaab Park! I have been going back and forth as to what to do in Cozumel. Paradise Beach just didnt seem to be our thing, and now after seeing these pictures I think we will head over to CP instead.

And to be fair... here are some pictures from Paradise Beach, which confirms why we wont be going there, althought the guys naked butt is quite humorous... Not for my kids eyes! rofl

That beach looks SOOOOO much better than Paradise Beach. Is it part of the Dolphin Encounter (similar to the one in Costa Maya) where the beach is part of the excursion??

We did not like Paradise Beach at all for our younger children (ages 4 and 7). We went there in March during Spring Break and it just was too crowded, too rocky, and kind of small. Put us in the minority, some love PB. Just not us.

For all the folks in Arizona. We just booked our flight last night. Airfare has been getting more costly as each day passes. The lowest airfare we could find into Atlanta (that fit our schedule) for our family of four was $1600. We found a perfect flight on Southwest into TAMPA for $742. So even with renting a car for $200, we still are saving alot of money we can better spend on the rest of the vacation. It looks like it is only a 75 minute drive into Orlando from Tampa. Just an FYI.

My only concern is the smaller beach (zero enrty) beach doesn't look all that inviting, and the main beach, you need to walk down the stairs then are in fairly deep water... but it's good for snorkling... hmmm

BUT I still think much nicer than naked butts and bottle shots at PB AND that iceburg with my kids 8, 6, and 4 just isnt happening!!!

I also feel that CP provides a slightly more ethinic experience, with the ruins, gardens, and huts etc.... WHEW!

So nice to have yet another day of the cruise planned!!! :lmao: :cheer2: :lmao:

Thanks! I have been watching the Tampa specials - all the airlines are cheap into Tampa but DS doesn't want to book it into Tampa:mad: . I keep showing him the fares but so far - no luck.

We have been very lucky every year that we have been able to use frequent
flyer miles for all four of our tickets. We had to book the FF seats over a year out in order to get them but it has been worth it...about a $1600 savings! This, unfortunately, will be our last year flying for free though as we have now officially run out of miles. Now that DH is no longer flying weekly, we aren't racking them up like we used to. Oh well...We had a good ride and we were blessed to fly free as long as we did! This time next year you all will hear me too complaining about the expensive price of airfare! Good luck to all!

Super SWEET on the FF miles RR!!! I manage to get enough miles for one ticket a year on SWA and One ticket a year on United... :lmao: But my DH uses the United ticket for his boys golfing trip and I use my SWA FF ticket for a girls trip to WDW. Not much, but it works :-)

I am WAY to excited about this cruise and NEED to start working on our summer road trip to Hilton Head Island. Gas prices are scaring me big time. It's up to 3.50 a gallon around here   :confused3 :scared1:

Laurabearz - Do you know how recent the pictures of CP are? We will be going there for DS to do the royal swim. DH and I will just be watching him. We were planning on spending most of the day there. It looks beautiful in those pictures, but I wasn't sure if they were before the hurricane or not.

Oh, and by the way the maps you did listing where everyone's staying is wonderful. The next time you are working on them, my DH (Tommy) will also be with DS and myself.

I think a 3:00 meet would be fine, just let us know where and we will be there.

Ann

I asked my friend who was there in April if those pictures reflected what it looked like today, and she said yes. They did a lot of work and really upgraded a lot of things after it was ripped apart.

It looks totally new. I was there about a month before the hurricane came through, and these photos here, show they really fixed up the buildings and paths and they are MUCH nicer than before lol. I think, but I am not sure, but I think the whole pool area is new. I dont recall a pool there. (I was there on a girls trip and we did the SNUBA which was totally cool)

But I must say A LOT of the plants and landscaping is NOTHING like it used to be. They did a lot of replanting, but it was like a lush jungle before.... it will be years before the landscaping was what it once was... The reef also took a hit, but I hear it's not bad... and any fish will be cool for my kids to see! lol

Ah...Long time since I've posted! We're going to WDW this summer for a conference and very short trip and I've been focused on that.:cool1:

Is there a little image for us all to have for our cruise? I saw some things a few pages back but I wasn't sure if it was for the disboards or a button contest, etc. - or if there is still deciding to be done on a final design.

I have a GTD room so I won't know my room assignment for awhile! We are listed on the first page as on the boat already though.

Any reason why the port times are shorter now? Or is that typical. I had thought about doing the ruins on the mainland at Cozumel (Tulum) with my 9 year old (who is almost 10 at cruise time - within a month of that birthday) but you think we'd be too rushed? Get back to the ship late? What time does that Pirate Party start? Anyone else doing that?

Pirate night has been typically on Cozumel night(weds). But I have heard at times they change it to Grand Cayman night (tues) Pirate night starts at like 945 at night so no worries about rushing back for it. IMO it is TOO LATE! They should have both a early dinning pirate night and a late dinning pirate night just like the shows.

As far as the times in port... The schedule I have on the first page is what is on the DCL website. On Cruisecal.com it shows that we are docked in Cozumel until 10pm, but I doubt it. More often than not they leave at 630 like the main DCL website says...

The button contest is in full swing... Info on the first page. There are other's designing door magnets and such too, but the BIG PRIZE ($5.00 disney dollars I found in my desk) Is for the buttons only :lmao:

And I have 2 big trips inbetween now and the cruise and the only planning I can do is FOR THE CRUISE!!! I am so bad.... :rotfl:

Hi all. My family of 7 will be sailing the same time. I have already posted but still do not know what the room numbers for all will be. Ages are me (59), dh(59), dd's (38) and (34), son in law's (47) and (36), and grandson (13).
I just checked last years navigator and when we sailed the same time last year on Cozumel night; all aboard was 1:00 a.m. I remember that the waiters were so excited that they were going to go ashore and couldn"t wait to get off the ship.

:cheer2: :cheer2: time's passing ever so slowly. is it always like this?:dance3: :dance3: i'm collecting things i want to take. showed DGM (86) the dvd for the cruise. she is ready to go shopping for COOL clothes. :cool2: :cool2:i have to find time to help her. man this is getting to be a real wild ride, i don't want to get off yet.   :woohoo:

As you can see I am helping pass the time by posting on this thread WAY too much! (sorry everyone lol)

Tomorrow we get our passports done!!! We have to pull our oldest out of school early to do it, but I want it done, with 20 weeks to go! lol

I really really wish pirate night was on Tuesday Grand Cayman night. They hold it then, when like nanatink said, the allow the crew a late night a Cozumel on Weds, they hold pirate night on Tuesday. SHOULD WE ALL WRITE LETTERS :lmao: PLEASE HOLD PIRATE NIGHT ON GRAND CAYMAN NIGHT! THANKS! :lmao:

OK Picture time!!
