October 4th Closing, Any Cards Yet !!

Anyone closing October 4th and NOT get their membership cards yet? Other then me ?? Less then 26 days before we go to BWV and still NO cards !! I called MS on Jan. 4th to let them know, and still no cards.

We closed then as well and we still don't have them. As a matter of fact, my wife just called MS yesterday about this. She was told that they switched companies and some people got lost ....

Personally, I'm not too happy about it. I know that it shouldn't be that big of a deal, but when people who closed months later than us post about getting their cards, it makes me a little upset.

They told us just to use the temporary cards even though they expired in December. They said they would still honored. Maybe this is true for WDW owned places, but I doubt it is true for other restaurants, etc. Also, given all of the confusion about DVC versus DC, I could see it being just one more hassle to deal with when trying to get a discount.

We also closed on October 4th and have not received our permament membership cards yet. I called over a month ago to request they be sent again and we still haven't received them. Our temporary cards expired on January 11.

we had the exact same problem. We head down on the 23rd of March, and we still had nothing as on Jan 1. I called and they said the same thing. They said that somethings were lost in the shuffle and would send us our cards asap and use the temp cards in the meantime. We got our cards a few weeks ago. This may sound a bit of a minor thing, but we never got our snazy DVC bag. My sister closed at the same time and she has hers(and she likes to rub it in.) If you haven't called about your lack of cards, I would do so. Sounds like a lot of people have had the same problems.

we closed on BWV points back in Nov. and have not got any cards yet, we never had temp cards cause we bought through resale. We did however get new card for our HH points (member since 96)the begining of Dec. I call and asked if they sent the wrong ones and MS said no they were changing the card to a new charge card looking card. The card was the exact same as the old one. Call today to make resv. for Sept. at WLV and again requested cards we will see.

I closed at the same time. When we called in January to book our trip for July we asked about the cards and I received them about 2 weeks later.

We closed back in January (on a resale) and received the cards and the Guidebook within two weeks of closing.

No cards here yet. I closed Oct. 4th, emailed ms in Jan. and was told to expect them in 4-6 weeks. So I expect them any day now. If they do not arrive by March I will contact ms yet again.

We purchased while we were on property and received a zippered tote bag then. Is this the bag you are all referring to?

This shouldn't matter because when you get your room key cards they will say "DVC Member" on them and this will serve to get you the DVC discounts at the other restaurants, etc.

We closed on October 4th. Still waiting for our cards and tote bag.

It would appear that DVC's process for sending these things out is not exactly a best practice.

I wouldn't worry so much about having the card; the member number is more important, and you should ask your guide to get that for you. As indicated in a prior posting, as long as you are a member, "DVC Member" shows up on your room key entitling you to all of the benefits.

I never got the tote bag; someone indicated that those were given only to people who bought direct from Disney and we bought a resale.

Wouldn't hurt to send MS an e-mail and ask them what the story is about your card and Membership Kit.
