October 4, 2012 - Mr Sandman bring me a 3 night Dream!

Think I'm nearly done with my FE stuff. The 'big machine of Doom' was fixed earlier this week so I made all the bits I needed so only a touch of assembly is left to do.

All in all that's probably a good thing because I head for the airport next Sunday!

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Bad news - pretty sure DD has an ear infection. Good news - it is before vacation...

Hope she feels better soon.

I hope all that is feeling under the weather feels better for the cruise. It's not fun cruising while sick.

Cindy hope you heal before the cruise.

I am envious of all those headed to the world before/after the cruise. I'd love to add on or extend our vacation. Was thinking of doing MNSSHP but no party on Sunday. What a bummer. Was thinking of doing Kennedy Space Center but decided to do that another time. Trying to decide what to do before heading home on Monday. Any ideas?

How about food and wine festival at Epcot?

How did you manage to injure yourself? I hope it heals quickly, they may call it an aircast but they certainly are bulky and sweaty!

hubby left at 4 am so we are sad to see him go for this business trip. However we've decided that its good because as soon as he gets back we only have a couple of sleeps until we leave! As my daughter pointed out only 10 sleeps until Florida!

We started gathering some of her stuff to pack....why is it that it feels like all I do is buy her clothes...and yet she seems to have none? Well I guess there's shopping in our future....When we booked this cruise I could barely get into my size 16 jeans....and on Thursday I bought some size 8's I was SO thrilled I almost cried!:woohoo::woohoo:
Congrats on the weight loss! And shopping is always fun!

Oh my leg injury was just a fluky thing that happened. Every night I ride my bike 5 to 10 miles (usually somewhere between 6 and 7 miles), then I do some light weights, stretch a bit, and finish it off with push-up. So back around 8/31 I hopped off my bike, did some weights, and then the stretching...oy! Something hurt like h-e-double-hockey-sticks in my leg! Skipped the stretching, did a few stomach crunches and push-ups and I was down for the count. Have not been able to do anything since! Although I am hoping when I see the orthopedic doc tomorrow that will change since my leg has felt much improvement this weekend. (And what they say about sitting around doing nothing and gaining weight is all true! The 10 lbs I managed to lose last month? All back!)

Ouch! Hope your feeling better by cruise time.

Thanks! I imagine if it's not completely better, it will be good enough to walk around on!

So glad you were able to get your machine fixed! How awesome you are heading to WDW in a week!

Hope she feels better soon.

Thanks! I should be good to go (or at least good enough!) by the cruise. :)

Hmmmmm...where are you spending Sunday night? Near the port or in Orlando? If near the port, there are a few eco-tours and airboat locations. Those are always a hit with us. If in Orlando, and you don't feel like hitting a park, how about Typhoon Lagoon. There are times we just don't feel like going to a park, so instead we hang out at either Downtown Disney or Boardwalk, and grab a late lunch or early dinner wherever we are at.

Omg that is awesome news about your weight!!! Congrats. I'm sorry about your husband going away for business.

I thought I was finished, but realized I need to do a few more things. Oy!

Look at it this way, you have something to keep you occupied until the cruise!

Ha ha! I'm with you...I cannot wait for the cruise to get here, yet it better not come earlier than planned because I am so not prepared at this moment!

And yea for extra cruise funds!!!

Oh no! Fingers crossed she feels better soon!

Oh, that's a good idea! I did that a few times to my family years ago when ailments would pop up out of nowhere. They caught on to me finally.

Oh dear...will keep fingers crossed he is feeling better soon!

I injured my right calf muscle (peroneus longus for anyone that knows muscles) just over two weeks ago. Have been in an air cast boot since. Ugh! This weekend is the first time it is starting to feel somewhat better. If you see anyone on the ship that looks like they are ready to walk on the moon, that would be me! But, I better be out of this thing by then!

I do hope you feel better I know what you mean about the cast thing. I had to wear one for months. Feel better soon

I hope everyone feels better before their vacation starts I have had viral vertigo for 5 weeks now but have been told today that I will be fit to fly which is brillaint as we leave on the 28th:yay:

I have now completed my F.E which took a while but is finally finished! It was my first attempt at making one so I am quite pleased with the results. I would have posted a photo but I have already packed it.

Hope everyone has a good week, not long now:cool1::cool1:

Oy! That does not sound like fun. Feel better soon, and excellent news you have been cleared to fly!

One of my favorite things to do while delivering gifts during the FE run is to look at everyone's FEs...can't wait to see yours!

I cannot believe in just a day over two weeks I will see Becky! It's been over a year, so we are due for a visit. :)

How about food and wine festival at Epcot?

We thought about that. MK has EMH that night too.

Not sure where we will be staying on Sunday night. We are driving so we could go anywhere. We were thinking Orlando as there is so much to do there. Then I'm afraid i'll want to stay longer. We want to do something we haven't done before. How is St. Augustine? I haven't been there since I was a child. My DD enjoys history so I was thinking the oldest city in FL. We have been to Savannah many times and enjoy it. Soes St. Augustine have ghost tours?

Yes St. Augustine does have ghost tours. There is one I do believe you do Riley's believe or not first then do the tour. I think it's a 2 in one deal.

Oh, I love St. Augustine! Although I might be biased since it's practically in my backyard. ;) There is a ton to do there, including the ghost tours as mentioned. Daytime hours you will find the fort is open, along with some great strolling along the shops. Nice boat tours. Several places to dine (my favorites are Columbia Restaurant and A1A Ale Works in the old city, and Reef Restaurant on the ocean just north of the old city in Vilano Beach).

I hear ya! I am so ready. DD's birthday was yesterday and her party is tomorrow. Then we have family coming into town on Tuesday for 3 days. Then I can officially be in cruise mode. :cheer2: It has been crazy busy here and I am in desperate need of a vacation.

DD has been having trouble with allergies again. I hope I can get her well before we leave. Maybe the fresh salt air will do her some good.

Those that are leaving this week for the world have a great time and safe travels. See ya on board!

Sorry I've been MIA lately. Have been really busy with work, back to school, etc. i'll have definitely earned this vacay by the time we leave Friday, which is the end of a seven day stretch of work. That usually leaves me so tired but instead we'll hop in the car to drive to Orlando. I'll be too excited to be tired, right? I finished my FE stuff tonight. I haven't made any gift tags, so if I don't get around to that, you'll have some mystery gifts!

Is anyone looking for a family beach cabana? I think we are giving ours up, we were hoping for one on the adult beach.

I can't believe the cruise is getting so close. I am so excited! I am beside myself. I drive myself nuts checking a few times each day to see if my cabin has been assigned.

WooHoo, a Serenity Bay Cabana popped up today, Family Beach Cabana #5 is now available!

mcorbo that is awesome, congrats on the cabana. :beach: I'm sure it'll be a great day on the beach.

Got our cabin assignment today. We are in cabin 5164. I have been researching this cabin and i'm unsure how it'll do. I'm excited it is an extended balcony but it only has a couch and queen bed. It'll be myself, my mom and daughter. Not sure how to do the sleeping arrangements If I called Disney would they give us a different cabin that has 3 beds? Can we upgrade at the port? Also how do the categories work? The lower the number and leter the better cabin or is it the higher number and letter better?

Thanks! I'm still excited and glad we finally have a cabin.

The higher the lower the number, and higher the letter is better. For example, a 5A is a higher category than a 5C, while a 4D is a higher category than a 5C. Hope that makes sense!

If you are concerned about space and have to settle on a crapshoot with a pulldown bed being available, consider upgrading at the port (if available) to a category 4. Those staterooms are slightly larger and sleep 4 to 5 (pull down bed out of the wall). (The category 8's are the same, but do not have a verandah.)

One week, and we will be heading to the port!!!
