We arrive to Disney on Halloween day. We are not attending the party. We are staying at the courtyard (the one with the water park)
My question
We plan on using arrival day to go swimming at the hotel and going to down town Disney for dinner at the rainforest cafe.
1. Should it be warm enough in anahiem that day to use the pool ?
2. Should I book reservations at the rainforest cafe or with it being Monday should be easy to get into ?

Depends. Usually high is probably mid 70's by then, but the thing to know about California is that it cools considerably in the evening, so in the morning it will still be in the 50's and probably won't reach the 70's until noon or later. Even in the summer, the water feels much cooler than Florida even if the absolute temperature is higher because the water cools at night. I probably wouldn't want to swim then, but some people swim in much colder weather than that. Also depends if the pool is heated or not.

If you know you want to eat there, make a reservation! The places in DTD get really busy, no matter what day of the week it is.

I would, RFC always seems to have a really long wait so reservations, IMHO, are always a good idea.

Regarding Rainforest Cafe, I would definitely make a reservation or join the Landry's Club if you know you want to eat there. Whenever I've gone there, regardless of day of the week or time of the year, the stand-by wait always seem to be in the 45 minutes to 2.5 hours range. You can't make a dinner reservation online, so you'll have to call ((714) 772-0413). The Landry's Club costs $25 to join, but you get a $25 credit to use on your next visit. It also gives you priority seating, which means you don't have to make a reservation.

I'll make a reservation ! Opens in 2 days for Halloween lol ! Coming from northern Canada sounds like it should be warm enough for us to go swimming !
Does anybody know when we should start switching over to Christmas decorations I'd love to be able to see some Christmas .?

I haven't been to Disneyland in two years I'm really excited to see what has all changed in the last two years !
