When should we expect to receive our documents?
I'm a bit worried about my TA getting them to me, so the earlier she gets them, the better. I want to know when to start bothering her about getting them and getting them to us.

Usually three weeks to ten days out. It really depends on how many assignments and changes DCL has to make on our cruise. They finish those then the paperwork goes to print and is mailed out.

Why are you worried about your TA getting them to you? Trust is important when you're dealing with a TA - you must have the stuff in order to board the ship. My TA gets the papers/forms/packages to me just as soon as she gets her hands on them.

I think it was around the 2 or 3 week mark for us last year.

Have you all seen this

Halloween Info

Kinda bums me out, Halloween was our special thing and they are giving it away

Yeah ... I just sent a note to concierge about this. I'm really frustrated with it.

This is kind of a bummer. But Disney starts celebrating Halloween in September at its parks. But, we get the real thing. We are the only ones who get to spend the actual Halloween on the Magic, and that's pretty cool. It's one thing to have a Halloween party the week before, but to get a really good Halloween party ON Halloween is very cool. We booked this trip soley for that reason. So, I may be the one with the class half full, but so what. It's Halloween ON the Magic. All other cruisers on all the other ships can only hope to be our cruise.:dance3:

I figured they would do stuff on other Disney cruises in October as well. Like you said, they start celebrating in the parks early why not on the cruise ship? I did think that maybe the trick or treating would have been only for our crusie since kids are actually missing that at home, but the contests and other activities does not shock me.

Sorry I missed chat. DD is still sick. Pneumonia that is not responding well to antibiotics. Keep us in your prayers. Hopefully I will join Sunday. As far as FE gifts, I'm fine with whatever. I haven't gotten that far, so what's a little more.
So here is a thought, since we are in October and November, do we get a Thanksgiving celebration too? HaHa! I'm just excited to have Halloween on board.

Oh, Teresa, I'm sorry. I sure hope she starts responding and healing.

Ha!! Great thought. Perhaps I should ask concierge that!!!!

Eric just came down the stairs in his tuxedo. It fits!!! He has not put that on in 9, almost 10 years. Taking it to the dry cleaners for the cruise. So we are stepping up our dress for formal night.

I know, some of you are not going all out for formal night, but I am excited. We never did the tux thing on the last cruise and I am super excited about all of us in formal wear for Christmas pictures.

Now...to get a tux for Adam. Time to do some research.

How fun :goodvibes and how great is it that it still fits after 10 years! :cool1: Very impressive!

It's coming up so fast, isn't it! I'm getting super excited as well! :cool1:

My parents got their room number today!

FE Folks -

The FE list posted today iscorrect as of the 15th. I had an email from Alyson that I missed and didn't have their info up but I did have it before the 15th so I wanted everyone to know.

I am 100% up to date as of this morning. I will be working to get the cruisemates list cleaned up today as well.

As you folks get your GTY assignments please post or PM the info to me, especially if you are on the FE lists..

Thanks all...

UK_Simon great to see you again.. Join us in chat if you can.

Hello everyone:

According to the Disney Cruise Line website September 17 was the determination date for those that had a Fuel surcharge added to their reservation when they booked their cruise prior to Dec. 1, 2008 to receive a refund in the form of a onboard credit if the cost of fuel was below 70 dollar a barrel. It was supposed to show on your reservation details on mycruise on the DCL website.

I checked mine this morning and do not see the information posted on my cruise details on the website. Is anyone else waiting to see if they are getting the fuel surcharge refund? If so, have you checked your cruise details to see if it is posted on you cruise details on the website. I guess I will wait to the end of day for responses from those in the same boat.

Thanks in advance for your responses!

We can't see ours online since we booked with a TA. I'm going to contact mine to see if we paid it or not. I know we booked before Dec 1, 2008. But I also remember a few months ago seeing a lower in the price and get a refund for that amount (I just don't know if that was the fuel surcharge).

My bigger question is if we can get a $$$ credit and not an OBC credit.

Hi Jeff I am a TA and I am just wondering why you can not access your information on www.disneycruiseline.com. All you need to do is setup an account...you should have access to your reservation however only your TA can make changes to it. You can do your online check-in etc...

That's great Kristi! Are they pleased with there location?

That's horrible that she is still so sick. She is in our thoughts and prayers.

It would be pretty neat to have a Halloween party one night and wake up the next to see the tree up :goodvibes:lmao::lmao:

I was just looking at the FE gifts on the main page! Some people are so talented!

:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:See you in 43DAYS:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Hey Shell -

The next time you email your concierge friend can you confirm what nights are what in regards to the dinner rotations (Formal night, semi-formal, pirates, Capt. gala, etc.). Everything here on the boards seems to contradict each other

Thanks

Just checked, my reservation is "temporarily unavailable", I'll check back later and will update!

UPDATE ---

There was nothing there about a credit. I could see my cruise info, all my shore excursions and such, but saw nothing about a credit anywhere, and we booked in April of 2008....

Got my room assignment and we are now a cat. 10 on deck 1 cabin 1049. I'm happy with my assignment. I've never been on the lower decks before so this will be a first. Hopefully we'll like it. :goodvibes

Hey guys - we got our cabin assignment too - a 12 to a 9! We are in 2026. I can't believe we got a porthole (girls are going to love it!)

Sorry I have been MIA. Taryn is still going to specialists to just make sure all is well (she is feeling and acting great). Once she was better, Mike's grandmother passed away, so we were busy with family and funeral arrangements.

I should be back to regular posting and chats. Can you believe only 6 weeks to go!
