Kelly...I hope you are feeling better soon:wizard:

Hi Jamie! I have used insuremytrip.com for travel insurance. I've used them twice so far for cruise vacations and have been happy with my coverage. Luckily, I have not had to use it yet. There are several choices on that site.

I hope everyone is doing well. :)

We are doing well:goodvibes

Thank you...they look like a good site and have good medical coverage...normally we just use dh's work travel insurance but I wanted something a little more detailed this time...

Just thought I share...for those of you who had trouble getting the rooms you wanted...friends of ours are thinking about switching to this cruise...they having been looking for a while but were having problems getting the rooms the wanted on the floor they wanted but as of last night there is a lot more rooms available now in cat 11, 10 & 9:confused3 Maybe this will help someone who wanted cat 9 on deck 2:goodvibes

Have a great day!

Thanks so much on the info for the room. We will look into it, but I am not sure that there are even rooms on deck 2 that we would take. We are cat 9 with 4 people and want mid ship. Someone told us that all deck 2 mid ship rooms only hold 3, and the ones that hold 4 are all forward or aft. We would LOVE a deck 2 room, I'm just not sure that they even exist.
Right now we are mid ship on deck 1.

Hi Jeff,

I am sure you won't be far away from us. Deck one Rules :lmao:

My DD is 5 now, she'll be 6 1/2 on the cruise.

I am from Pompton Plains in Northern NJ (small town, near Wayne). You are in central Jersey? Don't why I thought that, maybe a previous post....

Hi Jaime,

I am glad to hear your daughter was OK, but understand the strain of still having that over your head. That sounds scary :sad1: I can emphathize - different situations, but my DS is on the autistic spectrum and it feels like I always have to get something checked out "just be sure" - it was an EEG last month to rule out seizures (which were indeed ruled out). I think our developmental doc tends to err on the side of caution, and so sends us to every specialist under the sun! Last week we did a clinical trial in NYC involving blood work for genetic testing. We were there all day long, giving detailed medical histories while my son was extensively interviewed. Not the same as what you are going through, I know. I feel for you. Here, take this

Hi all - Well I think I got our site redesigned to fit better on all sized monitors... I only have wide screen monitors on my desktop and laptop so if someone has a normal size and will check, please let me know if it is still messed up.

I am now going to go back through the posts and update anything I may have missed. Please PM me if I miss something you would like changed. Once I do that I will get our countdown calendar installed as promised.

Here is the link incase you have missed it: http://www.mytimepassages.com/cruise09/cruise09index.html

Special thanks to Jamie for all the GREAT info you provided and to Jeff for the neat printable countdown calendar.

lastly a few have asked where I got the cruise banner below. I designed it myself so feel free to snag it and use it as part of your signature as well.

Kelly -- Thanks so much for all of your time and hard work on our website. I looked at it quickly tonight and it looks great! I hope that more people PM or post that they want to be added to our "cruiser" list and/or "fish extender participant" list. I can't wait for the countdown clock to be posted. Then, I will be even more excited!!! (Right now we are focused on our November trip to WDW!) Thanks again!

Darlene I have a friend who's son is on the autistic spectrum too. All those test can be very tiring...I hope it is not to stressful on your son. Glad to hear no siezures.:goodvibes

My dd will need monitoring but besides that she should be fine. Her body is healing any damage that was done with her ruputure which is amazing. Since the ruputure was such a rarity they feel her aracnoid cyst should not ruputure again and it is not worth the risk of operating especially since she shows no physical signs of having it on her brain. I do find it unsettling though simply because of the size of it and because it will always be there.

Count us in!! OUr family of 4: ME(35) DH(40) DS(10) & DD(7). Our first cruise ever!!!!! Bringing some friends along, too.

Please count us in for the meet and Fish Extender!!!

Question about kids ages and stuff. When people are posting the ages of their kids, are those the ages of them now, or at the time of the cruise?
I posted my kids for the time of the cruise. Hoping to find people with kids the same age so they can meet before hand and see a friendly face when they get on board.

HI! I wrote my children DS 9 and DD 6 as the ages they will be on the cruise. I hope this helps.

You are going to have a great time! We went last year and we are hooked! It was so much fun!

would anyone be interested in having a facebook group for out cruise? I know people like to post here and I would never suggest to stop using disboards, but here are some things that could be done if we used facebook as well.

Instead of just one message chain for our cruise, within the facebook group we could start as many chains as we wanted
People can easily post pictures/albums to the page
Can see a list of names easily of people in the group
Can play games with each other over facebook - there are tons of Disney trivia games as well as normal games to challenge each other on.

I spend a lot of time in facebook and thought it might be another option for people to communicate with each other.

Sounds neat Jeff...

I like that after my last cruise we set up a group photobucket account for pictures...I got some nice pictures we missed ourselves...

Jeff -- Did you check out Kelly's website yet? She has already established a list of names, cabins, locations, etc. If you haven't been on it yet, I suggest that you check it out. I probably would not be interested, at least right now, of joining a facebook activity. (Sorry for being a party pooper.) Thanks for your thought. I am sure everything will turn out great!

Hey Jeff that sounds like a great idea for some but I don't think I can manage one more group, activity or message board right now. :goodvibes

I've added the countdown calendar and our news shipmates who have posted here or PM'd me...

Everyone have a great weekend
