:rolleyes1 only 518 days to go...

I'm new to this site but not to Disney. We have our first cruise with DCL hooked and booked. Having done Mickey's Not So Scarey Halloween, this seemed like a fun cruise to take. We (me, wife, daughters 3 & 9, along with both sets of grandparents) are on deck 6 mid. I see others are already there. I'm sure we'll run into each other, even if we don't know it.

Welcome to DIS! We loved Mickey's Not So Scarey Halloween party...might do it again before the cruise:goodvibes

Welcome to all our new cruisers:sail: I am looking forward to setting sail with you all. Love the pictures.

Hello Everyone, my Wife and I just booked today. This will be our first Western, we have been on 3 Easterns and 2 Bahama Cruises. Looking forward to something different. Have been on the Magic for Christmas, first time for Halloween can't wait. Hope to make new friends in Oct 2009. See ya soon!:firefight :cool2:

WELCOME pixiedust: MADCLFAN!

We were on the Magic last November and it was beautifully decorated for Christmas...we are a little concerned that it will look a little bare this trip:goodvibes

Our dd's loved the Disney Christmas music that played all the time in the halls...do the play normal Disney music on regular cruises or was the music something special for the season?

Since there are a lot of first time cruisers with children in the 5-7 age group I thought I share my dd’s favorite kids club activity…her little sister was too little last time and is hoping she'll get to do it this time. There was a Goofy’s pj party where all the children got to pretend they were sleeping and just as they were almost to sleep the had a very special visitor…they were all given a pillowcase to color and keep the only problem was the fabric markers were very well used…she was still very pleased with her pillowcase...we secretly took the pillowcase to guest services for all the characters to sign…it is her favorite souvenir and the best part it was free!

Great pics, I am really excited for this cruise. Welcome to those that joined our thread!

Hi...we are very excited too...we will be even more excited once we are able to book our airfare in November...we are really sorry though that we never rebooked the cruise onboard last time...we'll have to make sure that doesn't happen again;)

Just reading all our post on our meet thread...we would love to take part in fish extender gifts...it is so much fun and our dd's loved getting little treats and candies;) I think it will be alot of fun with halloween too...A fellow Nanahead cruiser made our fish extender...she did a great job I actually think she is selling them on ebay now.

We haven't given alot of thought to excursions yet...we don't plan on doing any Disney excursions though...we like having the flexibility to come and go...

Hi Michelle…I hope this picture is clear enough…it hangs of the little fish in the hall next to your door. There is instructions on the main DIS cruise site on how to make them...other cruisers...most from our meet put little gifts in them...we got things like Halloween candy...pirate gear...glow bracelets…our girls got some really cute princess stuff...our girls even got some beautiful bookmarks with there names on it...it was a lot of fun…everyday there seemed to be something new…we brought smarties (Canada's version of M&M's) and some pirate tattoos...we just took our time and went throughout the cruise to the different staterooms…we also left a small note pad and pen in our fish extender so we could leave notes to each other…worked well when we did different activities…also having our door decorated made it alot easier to find our room...even the little boy across the hall used our door to find his room:) We had some really nice door magnets left on our door too!

We also had a cruise meet the first day where we a had a gift exchange at our cruise meet everyone brought one $15gift with them representing where they were from….we then picked names out of a hat.

Thanks for the picture. Sound like fun. I am sure we will do this.

Good Morning everyone:goodvibes

...our favoirte part of the cruise was pirate night...everyone was some type of pirate...the food and resturants had a real pirate theme...and best of all the pirate party at 10:15.

I read on the main board they are trying a new time for pirate night...I think it was 7:15....right between early and late dining...this would make it easier for younger children but I bet it would make for really rushed for early dining...

Hi everyone!!

Looks like we might be joining you on this cruise! I just booked this week - and have yet to tell my husband! LOL We are going on the Wonder in August, and I don't want to "stress" him out w/an 09 vacation already!!!

My name is Laurie, I am cruising w/my husband Carmine, and two sons Dominic (will be 13 at cruise time) and Anthony (will be 10 at cruise time), we are also from NJ! Looks like there will be A LOT of us onboard!!

This will be our 4th cruise! We did the Magic in 05, the Wonder in 06, and again this summer. We LOVE DCL!

As far as the FE thing goes - we are doing that w/DISers on the upcoming cruise - I'll see how it all works out and maybe I'll join in also! I actually bought my FE itself on ebay! Just type in Fish Extender - they have some GREAT ones!

Hope you all have a great weekend!! I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Laurie
