Just a few more hours and we will be on the road to sunny FL from NY (long Island). So excited, the trip down is going to be great too, seeing family and old friends is always a great way to start a vacation!! Safe travels to all and we look forward to meeting everyone on the ship Sat!!

Take care,
Alyson

P.S. They do have hair dryers in the rooms, right?

Alyson - have a good trip. Wave to us when you pass exit 8 on the New Jersey Turnpike.

See that is why I travel SW. We are only paying 79 each way and get two free checked bags each!

Steve - Check the SW website, they just posted a three day web special and several folks on the podcast boards are saving $25-$50 on preticketed trips...

They call it a hairdryer but it's some weird contraption.. Not very good.. I am packing mine

We are waiting for our flight with very excited children. See everyone on Saturday!

I don't have any packing tips because I tend to overpack myself!

Just curious, where are you from in MN? When are you flying down? We leave Friday on the 7:10 flight. :)

Kristi

Hi Kristi:

We live in Rockford, about 25 miles left of Minneapolis.

We are flying out Friday at 1:15 on NWA (well, I guess it's Delta now:confused3) of course.

See you on the ship!

National Chocolate Day is October 28 and a perfect day to celebrate the many health benefits of chocolate. While chocolate is primarily eaten for pleasure, there are potential health benefits of eating chocolate.

Cocoa or dark chocolate benefits the circulatory system. Other beneficial effects suggested include anticancer, brain stimulator, cough preventor and antidiarrhoeal effects.

Personally, I plan to celebrate this day every day next week!!

Thanks for the heads up. I am eating a peanut butter cup in honor of national chocolate day!

OK, so my boys are beyond excited to see Nightmare before Christmas Disney 3D.

Now the question is does anyone know if they are showing A Christmas Carol for SURE?
If so, they are going to be so EXCITED!:cool1:
We visited the Christmas Carol Train a few weeks ago and it was awesome.

I've been out to Rockford a few times... We are in Woodbury (east of St. Paul). I wish we were on the 1:15 NWA flight, we are getting in way too late. Oh well, it will all be okay!

And yes, see you on the ship!! :cool1:

Kristi

Just got the call!! We've been upgraded from a category 11 to an 8!! So now we're on deck 6 instead of 7. Can't wait!! :cool1:

I'm sure most of you are unaware of this, but on occasion I have some psychic abilities and can see a few things in the future. The other day I was privileged enough to see the newspaper headlines for Sunday Nov 8th. I figured it would be best for me to share it.

"Yesterday, a man on the Disney Magic was arrested for refusing to leave the ship. Apparently the 38 year old from New Jersey handcuffed himself to a railing. Fellow cruisers wearing black and orange shirts with a Halloween Haunts logo told our reporter that the handcuffs used in the incident were a novelty pair that were pink and fuzzy. As he was led off of the ship in a pair of police commissioned handcuffs he was heard muttering, 'Shell made me do it'. Police are now trying to locate Shell for questioning."

OMG Jeff, I have tears you are so funny. I could just see you with the pink Fuzzy handcuffs ~

Steve, I have a southwest question. When I check in at my 24 hour mark does it check in everyone at once or do i have to do us one by one. Thanks Michelle

Michelle:

If all that are traveling with you are all under the same confirmation number, then you would just need to check-in one person and the others traveling with you on that confirmation number would print out. If you are doing it for others that are not traveling under the same confirmation number, you would have to confirm each person that would have a different confirmation number.

Thanks Steve, I booked all the tickets so we are on one. I just want to make sure we get A boarding so i am going to have it all set up to go for 7:30 on Friday morning.

This was asked and I don't remember seeing a response, so in case anyone is driving from the Orlando airport to the port on 528, there is one toll for $1.50.
