2 Adults Tom and Lynn We are celebrating our 23rd Wedding Anniversary
and 1 Teen Ashleigh She will turn 16 during the Cruise on Nov 2.

We are very excited as we had to cancel our cruise last year since I blew my back out a couple of months before we were due to sail and had to have surgery. I ended up having 2 back surgeries 4 months apart. We weren't able to celebrate our last anniversary, Cmas, Valentine's Day because of my recovering from surgery. It was really quite bad. My back is still "iffy" but probably will be for years to come. And then My hubby caught a bad bacteria at work this past July and had to have emergency surgery to debreed it from his leg and is currently finishing treatment with his wound vac. He will hopefully get to go back to work in September. We have had an incredibly rotten year and are really looking forward to something nice.
It's been two years since we have taken a family vacation, so we are really looking forward to this.

I had a Wound VAC in 2004--amazing process that cut my recovery to 1/3 of what it would have been!! Best wishes to your DH and you in your recoveries!!

Some have asked about the name of our thread and "nana head"
As I understand it, the people who started the thread planned a reunion cruise of their previous DIS group which had called itself the NANA HEADS because they punctuated their posts with dancing bananas

Many, if not all, have had to cancel.

I think people should feel free to decorate their doors as they see fit and call the cruise what they want. A name is more significant (IMHO) on the longer cruises where special lanyards are ordered by the DIS thread members.

It is Sep 1st, and today is last call to be included in the Official Tally for the FE list. Tally count is used by folks for planning/purchasing/shipping of FE gifts.

If you want to be added to the FE list, either PM me or post your info on this thread.

PS. FE additions after today will still be excepted until Oct 23rd (I will not excluded anyone who wants to join the fun), but there is no guaranty of receiving FE gifts unless folks have extra (which many do).

When do we think the GTY people will get their stateroom numbers? I know it can be as late as check in but when do they normally get assigned their rooms?

Want to know how long to hold off making FE gift stateroom tags.

The two times we were GTY we found out at boarding.

I would make them up with the capability to add the stateroom when you board.

Again, this adds to my plea to PLEASE update the FE Master list on our cabin (5538) with any cabin changes on embarkation day.

There was something about a page from the nanahead group. It was a private group page.

All group pages are private - unless you want to have the whole world reading what your cabin is and your kids' names and the like. All you have to do is request to join and you will be added.

Spirit changed our flight time to a time which didn't work for us so we added a night at pop and pushed our flight up an extra day.

We are doing Pop the night before the cruise! we added on to the honeymoon (after the cruise) and will be staying at OKW! We are thrilled and cannot wait for the cruise to get here!!!

I know the day we are in Nassau we are going to do the day in Atlantis! Other than that we are probably going with the flow, day at sea I am going to book a massage though! We also booked the private room in Palo the night at Sea for our guests! The day we are at Castaway is our wedding and I think between that and getting pics all over the gorgeous Dream we will be pretty busy! lol If not for that we def. would have snorkeled at CC....I ♥ snorkeling!!!!
