OCTOBER 30th & NOVEMBER 3rd Cruises (FE and Meets)

I know we still have aways to go but I never saw if we decided where we'll do the DIS meet at. Did that ever get determined? It was pretty neat to see the Dream at port yesterday on the webcam. She sailed last night for a 5 day but there seems to always be a little activity going on: http://portcanaveralwebcam.com/

I think the last we where doing was trying to find a place to hold the meet.

I have heard that so far the best place to hold it from others DISers is the Bon Voyage Bar.
It is off the main lobby and everyone can attend even the kids.

You might also try the Vista Cafe - on the fourth deck - it's kind of a combination Cove Cafe/Promenade Lounge kind of place - but quite a bit smaller - so it will depend on your group's size.

I am getting ready for a quick trip for friday afternoon until saturday evening.
Plus I am still working on the family reunion. Only 2 weeks to go, so I must keep at it.

Today is a special day for me...15 years working for Walt Disney World! I actually started on the college program in 1994, but 15 years ago today I started as a manager...I have now worked 15 years FT/PT. I will be getting my 15 year pin for my nametag at work soon (probably on my next shift which is Monday), my 15 year castle statue, and the wonderful 15 year celebration sometime in Nov/Dec. Tonight we are celebrating by heading to Buffalo Wild Wings for wings and beer, and then it's off to Epcot we go for a few drinks around World Showcase and then Illuminations. I'm sure DD will have us doing Kim Possible and of course a few attractions. As DH says, not too many people work for the same company 15 years, and it's an extra reason to celebrate something.

Tomorrow is DD 7th birthday, and the 9th anniversary of DH proposing to me...crazy that she was born 2 years to the day the he proposed...makes it very easy to remember! Tomorrow it's Hoop-Dee-Doo for dinner to celebrate! We will probably finally see Cars 2 on Saturday!

Summer is sure flying by, and busy too! Got my crafty sister to make our FE. She is cruising with us, and I think she will participate in the FE. I told her to get on here and post! We installed a pool last year, and the water is ALMOST warm enough for me to go in. Kids have been in since May. Need to get my daughters pirate costume ordered. It was out of stock, and just got back in, I better hop to it. Need to get a tote started for the cruise, the kids are taking all the stuff I am getting ready and using it.

Finally heading to see Cars 2 today @ Downtown Disney with DD, now 7, and DH.

Thanks for the update. I think we're not going to try for Palo this time at all ahead of time. I figure if after the 4 night cruise, there's a night that we don't like the menu we'll head to the buffet that night on the 3 night cruise.

Last cruise it was like - so much good food, so little time (and stomach space).

On a different note, I am doing something I rarely do - that is be spontaneous! I've booked a cruise on the Carnival Miracle August 26th to September 3rd (for myself and my god daughter). I just couldn't wait to cruise again (it's become an obsession!) and I got such an awesome deal.

Hi everyone,
hope you all had a great weekend.

We had a great time at the concert and Wild life Safari. Now its back to work on my reunion stuff. If I work really hard it will all be done by the weekend accept for the baking I will do on the 22nd.

Hope none of you live in that part of the states where you've been over 100 for 10 days now and at least 5 more days coming of 100+ heat. I feel badly for those people. I can't imagine having it that hot for so long.

It's been a long time since I posted! There are alot of new names on the board and a new thread! Wow!!

For anyone I don't already know...my name is Jaime and my dh is Glen and my girls are Kierra (9) and Alicia(7). We are only sailing on the October 30th sailing and will be traveling with 7 members of my immediate family. I also have 10 clients booked on the ship too; I am unsure if they are on the boards or not.

Time is getting so close and with check-in around the corner I am so excited!

Hello. My DD is also 7. I'm Stephanie, DH-Pete, and DD-Kayla (7). Sounds like you have a large group traveling with. It's us three in our group.

We did our online check in and reserved a few things on 7/2, the 120 day window. Hopefully you are able to book the things you want when your booking window opens. I am still watching almost daily to see if Palo brunch ressies change in availability!
