Stephanie, cake tasting sounds soooo good. I am trying to drop the weight I put on over winter so have been eating just fruit and veggies.

I had heard that there is going to be a major staff change on the ships. What have you heard? I had been told by a few of the officers on the Wonder that many of the crew were not happy about being moved to the west coast.

I have also heard that Wed DCL will announce the full 2012 schedule for the Wonder and the Magic. I am hoping for a cruise to Hawaii. I have a dummy cruise to move to that cruise if it happens.

I am very sad this morning. Yesterday I put my 10 year old beloved cat Tweekie to sleep. We had been treating him for inflamed bowel but he just wasn't getting better and was miserable. Despite all the medicine we were pushing down his poor throat 3 times a day, taking blood count and giving insulin when necessary, cooking and blending special food to try to get him to eat, nothing was working. They did another sonogram and determined he had cancer throughout his abdomen. Rather then prolong the agony for a few months with chemo we said good bye. It was so hard.

Sorry for the pity message. My poor Bob, although I know he was sad too, he is trying so hard to make me feel better and all I do when he tries is cry.

Yes, I did book Hawaii. I'll get excited about that again in a few days.

Things are going ok. Wedding planning is really tough. We've had to make another cut to the guest list we've needed to find another venue to hold the reception. So now we've cut our list to 350. And we've asked that no kids under 10 attend. That was a tough one for me as I work so closely with kids all the time.

350 people at my wedding was my worst nightmare Sorry that you had to make the tough call about the kids. It must be hard to have to make that decision when you work with kids and had planned to have them there.

We're almost down to 200 days... that means 128 days until I can try and book us for Palo dinner and hopefully brunch as well.

Anyone else planning excursions through Disney? As this is our first cruise I'm too nervous to try book anything on our own so we're planning on doing the Outdoor Adventure in Puerto Vallarta, and the Pacific Side Horseback Ride in Cabo. No plans for Mazatlan, we're thinking we'll make that a spa day and just explore the port a bit on our own.

The other option is to surprise DH with Golf in Mazatlan and do the spa myself that day and do a couple's day at the spa on a sea day. I've been looking for a way to surprise DH so I might go with that... hmm I am brilliant!

I don't envy you trying to cut your wedding invitation list. You had to find a new venue? OMG you must have been going crazy. What happened? Did you get something you wanted?

I had heard there was a meeting with the crew of the Wonder to talk about a shuffling of staff within all 3 ships, based on seniority. Have you heard if there will be another big change? Any ideas of who, if anyone, is moving?

We took the DCL Historic Towns & Tequila-making excursion. I wouldn't recommend it. The tequila-making was interesting but the rest, which was most of it, wasn't. Many people on our bus seemed to feel the same way. We had booked a whale watching in Cabo but DCL changed our schedule and reduced the time of the excursion but not the price so I cancelled. We walked around near the wharf and went to Cabo Wabo for lunch and a drink.

Ugh, the reception site has to be changed because the church we were going to have the ceremony & reception at has no plan b for bad weather. And we're too nervous about the high winds & whether it will get too hot/cold or rain even. AND the church can't provide us with enough chairs, tables or linens. The price to rent all we'll need will equal the cost of renting out a city building that will provide most of what we need minus the table cloths. So frustrating.. And the cake baker has been a big flake so we have to find another one. And the kid cut has made me sad. Seriously, kids are just drawn to me- I have no idea why. Even when I was as young as 12 younger kids were just always around me. My dad calls me a fun magnet- kids just seem to think I'm a fun person to be around & I love being fun with them in return. Whatever.. I'm just ready for 10-30. The wedding will be over & we'll be getting on the ship! WOO!!!!!!!!!!

We have never done the dolphin swim. Have you checked out the Cruise Critic site or put your question on the DISboard forum page? I really appreciate the input of those generous people who post their experience.

Hey all! We are under 200 days until our cruise! (just) I'm getting really excited for our trip as I get to introduce DH to Disneyland for the very first time! Plus I am very close to finishing my degree so my life is - hopefully - about to get a lot less hectic, no more classes 5 days a week while working full time!

Congratulations on coming to the conclusion of this phase of your education. What degree are to getting?

Our cruise will be here before we know it. I was checking out the Jessica McClintock outlet here with thoughts to a new formal dress. Hoping this diet I am on works and I can justify a new dress.

Busy planning Easter dinner. I wasn't anticipating having Easter at my house, I do Christmas, but my sister asked if I would. Oh well, it will get be busy starting my spring cleanning.

Along with DL what else do you have planned for the 6 days before the cruise?

We plan to do Disneyland at a slower pace before the cruise... No other real plans, except that we might do the Hallowe'en party one night at DL. We're staying at the Sheraton Park hotel down the street from the parks. It's a great location my sister and I stayed there when we went to DL about 2yrs ago.

My degree is in Hotel and Resort Management and I also work for Starwood Hotels who run the Sheraton so we are getting an awesome rate for our stay. I might call and see if I can upgrade to concierge at the hotel, but we shall see where the money is before we go! I am also trying to get into better shape again as this past year at school has taken it's toll I am also looking to see if I can splurge on a new dress after I loose some weight.
