Were only a few months away... 95 days to be exact. 91 days till I go on vacation from work. I don't know what's better 2 weeks off from work or a Disney Cruise!!! BOTH! HAHA!

We are back from our weekend away where it was -1 at night and 14 during the day. Brisbane is lovely and warm @ 20.

Well now to finish off my FE gifts. I have been hard at work and plan to spend the next few weeks putting final touches to the gifts. I am looking forward to the holiday as it will be the first time I get a break away from work. Our school kids have 2 weeks off and I have had to work with them for school holiday fun. I would rather be at home with my girls but I have to wait until we go to see the Big Cheese (Mickey) in September.

Corrina, I'm glad that you know what's going on in the park and on the cruise. I haven't been able to get on the boards that much as work has been crazy!!!

Oh my inlaws are in room 7100 and I know they aren't participating in FE or Secret Mickey but I think I will have something fro Belinda and Luke in my girls pockets so they don't feel left out.

Can't wait for this holiday. Now the countdown begins!

Thanks for the update for the room number. I will update this in the spreadsheet shortly.

Keeping on top of things to do with this cruise has been my therapy. I am having a very challenging year at work and this is my escapism. I also slightly feel like a fish out of water staying onsite at Disneyland. When I made the transition from staying offsite to onsite at Disney World, I took this in my stride. For some reason I am struggling more with making the same transition with Disneyland. We have been to Disneyland in 2002, 2004 and 2006, but always stayed offsite. This will be the first time staying onsite. Part of me is saying that this should be much easier as everything is so much closer together and there is less choice, but this is not how I feel. So I have been doing quite a bit of research.

I now have all the materials I need for my Fish Extender gifts. I have to put some finishing touches to a couple of the earlier projects and then I can get going on the cabin gifts. I am really looking forward to working on them. They are both something completely new for me and I can’t wait experimenting with new ideas and techniques. Then I just have to package them up and I am good to go. I am thinking of doing two Fish Extender drops as I have two cabin gifts and two individual gifts for everybody. I also have extras of virtually everything, so I will slip little gifts into your Fish Extender for Belinda and Luke.

This vacation must be getting closer as I am starting to get vacation nightmares. I dreamed last night that I was in California for nearly a week, but had not managed to go to the parks. The first time I did actually managed to go was for Mickeys Halloween Party only to realise that my costume had not arrived and I had forgotten to make an appointment for Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. I wonder when the cruise nightmares will start.

I am having a bit of a real life costume related nightmare. I ordered a gorgeous burgundy, hand-made pirate hat from Etsy. In the listing it stated that it would take 7 to 14 days to arrive. Well, it has been a month now and it still not here. I have been communicating with the seller and it seems to be one excuse after the other. She told me that it was shipped on Wednesday and she is in the UK, too, but so far it has not arrived. Fortunately I am organized and ordered everything nice and early. I dod not have the dress and the shoes for the other costume yet either, but at least there I knew from the get go that I would not receive those until the second half of July. At least I have all the stuff that I need for my pirate necklace now and will work on this either tonight or tomorrow. Then I just have to make up my mind if I will make my own hair jewel or if I just buy one.

I also have finally gotten around to ordering a personalized pillow case for the characters to sign. I just need to get some fabric markers now. I had a pillow case signed twice before and enclosed Sharpies for signing with, but I decided I would really like to be able to actually use it.

I can’t believe that in 3 months we will be on our way to the Wonder. With this cruise slowly but surely creeping up on us, I thought it was a good idea to try to nail a few things down:



Fish Extenders – I will leave this open until August 2nd for new joiners, but around the 75 day mark, I will contact people who were undecided to see if they are in or out to allow people to have a pretty reliable count on how many gifts they have to make. So if you were undecided, but have now made up your mind, can you please let me know if you are in or out?



Embarkation t shirts – Now that we have all those great graphics that Mindy put together for us, I wonder if we should agree on a graphic for the embarkation shirt. It is always nice to be able to recognize people from our group straight away at the port and around the ship. Should I post a poll so that we can have a vote?



Mickey’s Halloween Party – As you probably have seen in one of my previous posts, the first Mickey’s Halloween Party of the season takes place during the afternoon and evening of September 30th. Who is planning on attending this and do people fancy meeting up? I think that people wearing their Halloween costumes would make a nice group photo.



Colour choice – I am going to have to be a little bit vague on this one as I do not want to give away the surprise before the cruise. I am working at something that people can wear so that it is easier for the group to recognize each other during the cruise. I just wondered what colour people would prefer for something that they will hopefully have on their person for the whole of the cruise.

Hi Everyone! Happy 4th!

Corinna, I am right there with you! Time is flying by and I am getting more excited every day! It's been a terribly busy, stressful week for me. Moving my classroom and starting a new grade. My new students come to meet me on Friday and school starts on the 11th. I've been bordering on the brink of tears at times and find myself looking forward to tomorrow evening and our excursion booking window! We have tickets to our Reno Aces baseball team that night (it's fireworks night at the ballpark) and I told DH he had to have me home at 8:55pm. I've got my priorities in order!

What do you have up your sleeve? I'm easy......I love any color and the idea of a little happy made by you!!

We are having a BBQ here tomorrow as some of my friends need to work on Monday. We have spent the day running some errands and later when the weather cools a bit this evening, we have some work to do on our community garden.

On Thursday, we recieved our next littler of foster pups. We have 4 little 5 week old puppies. They are adorable! This will probably be my last littler before our cruise as it is still a month away before they are old enough for adoption plus the time to get them adopted.

We have been fostering for over a year now and this have now fostered 18 puppies. We love it

I need some pixie dust!...keep good pixie dust thoughts for me. I have been getting working on a certification for my job for almost 2 years and I mailed everything in on THursday - keep good thoughts that everything is accepted and I get my certification! It is a huge deal for me and I have worked hard on earning it. I will hopefully know in about 4 weeks if everything was accepted.

It's a shame that September 30th is not a cast member night. I will go twice, on September 30th and October 11th.

We finally booked out flights today. We fly out with Delta via Atlanta and come back with KLM via Amsterdam (Delta code share). So I can now start on getting the shuttle organized and also get the hotel at the airport for the night before we fly out booked.

I was going to go with Supershuttle, but cannot work out their online reservation system. For some reason it wants to take us to the airport first and then collect us again from the airport and of course, we need it the other way round.

Happy 4th everyone! Although I don't celebrate it my girls know that it means something to my dad and I.

Corrina any colour works for me. I probably wont have time to make a shirt so I am thinking of making a patch for my bag.

I have lots of study to do and also finishing our room magnets and FE gifts.. On top of my 10hour work days i wonder sometimes how I fit it all in.

Well I must get going, it is the last week of school holidays for the girls and I have a few important errands to do.

I logged on to make our excursion plans while we were at the ballpark and the Disney cruise line website kept saying that I wasn't allowed to make our plans yet. I got a little panicky so DH said it was okay for us to go home. Bless his heart! He knows what could happen if something comes between me and my Disney trip planning! Once I logged on at home, there were no problems getting all of the excursions we wanted and dinner at Palo on the night we wanted. There was plenty of availability for all of the different Palo options. I hope everyone has the same good experience! Woo Hoo! Now the countdown begins........

As of right now, DH says no Halloween Party on the 30th (it would be me coming with the boys by myself as he wraps up things at work in preparation to leave for the cruise) because believe it or not....Mr. "I'm Not into the Mouse" doesn't want to miss the boys and their Disneyland experience! lol However, he has said that if the excursions we want to do don't work out (do things fill up before first time DCL cruisers like me get a chance to book them?) we will re-visit the possibility. I would love to see it work out, as my boys are dying to attend and wear their Star Wars costumes. It is their latest obsession. So I'll keep you posted Corinna if we'll be there!! I found the Halloween board with your name on the attending list so I'll keep tabs on that too.

I was able to get all checked in but when it came to booking anything the site went whacky on me. One page would say we were booked on the 15 night hawaii trip then it would go back to the MR trip, then error error error.

Got my palo booked, excursions and spa booked and am now checked in!

Got my MIL all done too! Since were both the same level on CC...



Now just have to wait until the 19th to book excursions and spa, then check-in online for the other two state rooms on our trip!
