tarzanman, you are correct. I seem to remember a bunch of DCL Crazy maniacs sitting in a green Ford van, waiting for them to open the gates!
But we were there at 10:00 A.M. ... :rotfl2: I like to get there early because the atmosphere at the port just makes the anticipation even greater. And, you get to visit with everyone ahead of time too.

Tim - drunk on 2 bushwackers? You big wuss! ;) We're buyin' buckets of beer, man. The Caribbean sun, the breathtaking view from St. Thomas, a bucket of cold Coors Light... life is good.

Betsy - I will do whatever I can to get you in at Palo. I have been amazed at what the concierge team can actually accomplish. We ask, they do! :goodvibes So, if nothing is available for you, RJ and I will go to bat for ya and do the best we can.

Beano - You are right about the time. We will be there early again. It is more fun that way for sure.

I am not a wuss. I would like to see you handle more than 2 bushwackers my friend. That would be funny.

WOW< there were alot of long posts tonight~ I am GETTING SOOO Excited to go ..I started TANNING tonight LOL and packing like mad ( ok just getting everything ready!~) IS IT OCT yet?

With all this talk of BLING I though id share of a PIC of MY NEWEST BLING :cool1:

Its a CADILLAC ESCALADE ESV and we just got 22s on it( hey who says we cant be cool too ALTHOUGH the people with :moped: are surely :rotfl2: )

but is it worth going to the not so scary?

And 3: About the park tickets. Since we are actually going to be on property for the first time, what is the best way to go about a ticket to either epcot/wdw/mgm/animal park.....yada yada, since we don't get that lovely FL discount you lucky ducks who get the discount do. Will the Swan have their own discount, or is there a consolidator somewhere that offers good discounts?

The MNSSHP is suppose to be a real blast. We're going earlier in the week. The park tickets you can check out at Disneyworld.com - In the past, there use to be quite a benefit from buying them online through Ticketmania as opposed to Disney; however, they've changed the way they do passes. It may be easier to order them online so you don't have to deal with waiting in line when you get there, but price-wise, you're only looking at a couple of bucks between Disneyworld and, say for instance, Ticketmania. My favorite resource for Disney info/prices/discounts (resorts, tickets, you name it) is www.mousesavers.com You may want to check it out. If you subscribe to the newsletter, you get extra benefits and updates sent to you on the 15th of every month. So you have time to sign up and receive one for 9/15.

Rachel: Nice wheels! Congrats! :)

Hi All,

I know it's too late now but how did everyone make reservations for the "tea" at Palo's? It never came up on our website. We were able to make 1 reservation for Monday night (Halloween). It's for 9 pm I think. Now I wish we had made it for much earlier. That way we could take part in all the Halloween festivities if there are any.

BTW, our dinner reservations are for 8:30 and we're two adults travelling without kids. Hope we're all correct with the rotation. Would hate to miss Lumiere's or Animator's Palate.

See you all soon!!

Good Friday Morning everyone!!!!

Lynne, we are staying onsite starting Wed. Going to MGM on Wed, MNSSHP on Thurs night and Epcot Friday. We will be going to DTD either Wed night or before the party on Thurs if you want to hook up we can see what we can arrange.

I am having a hard time deciding what to do on the Islands, explore ourselves, tour company, renting a car, cabing it????? To many descisions.

Anyone heard of Godfrey Tours, or Sunny Liston??? We are considering them for St Thomas but then we wouldn't be back in time for Bushwackers?????

Also does anyone know up to what date you can still cancell excursions?? I thought I read 2 days prior to sailing but I might be wrong.

Hope you all have a great day.

Kim

Morning!

I slept with Mr Nyquil last night...Shh, don't tell DH! I feel abit better..but still stuffy!

B&R - thanks so much!

I have gone into "full metal Cruise" mode...all cruising, all the time! This is gonna be a tough 48 days!

Also, when do docs get sent...Frannie says that she gets hers sometimes 6 weeks before.

Any word on Florida Residents?

I would say we can all start looking for docs within the next 2 weeks or so. Tradition clearly states that the last person/family to receive their docs buys a round of drinks at the sailaway party! LOL :rotfl2:

As for MNSSHP, it IS a blast! We have done it the last 2 years, and it's way cool. Great atmosphere, and tons of free candy! Plus, little or no lines for most of the rides. :earsboy:

From the "Live From the Sept 3rd Magic":

Oh -- an FYI for future Magic Eastern cruisers. There is a new second dock at St. Thomas. We were docked there. There are no shops at the new dock, however, there is construction going on and I would think by next year shops will be at that dock. There were three other ships in port that day which were at the older dock and Havensight Mall. The Magic was the only ship at the new dock.

Beano - if you book through DU, do they get the docs first, or do they come right from DCL?

Docs come straight from DCL if you are booked through Dreams. I have found documents to be arriving around 2-3 weeks before travel lately.

I wasn't able to get any Palo brunch booked for us :( (Beano--Ronnie Jo--HELP!) but I do have the Tea booked for all of those that asked (Sunday at 3:00 p.m.)

I can't believe we are only 7 weeks away from the cruise!!! WOO HOO!!

Sue Ellen

Any idea how long if you booked through a independant travel agency. She told us the beginning of October.....but I would kinda like to have then now :goodvibes Only cause that might mean I have a room assignment. :teeth:

I read on another thread that someone from the Oct 15th cruise already got hers...a few days ago.... :wizard:

Kim

Morning all ! Well I made it through another week of work :rotfl: .
Is it October yet ???????
Going to look for some cruise attire today, wish me luck.

We're dipping down into the 80's next week, overall it wasn't to hot in Vegas this summer.

Hockeychic: I think we are going to DTD on Wed. night too after dinner at sweet tomatoes ( DD favorite). And then MNSSHP on thursday.

Luckey: Oh cool maybe we will see you there. I am hoping it isn't that crowded on the Thursday night.

We are going to MGM on Wed so it depends on how tired we are, but DS loved DTD so I am sure we will make a effort to get there after riding TOT for the 100th time.

If there's one thing I've learned about docs, it's that there is no predicting when they'll arrive. It doesn't seem to matter who your travel agent is, or where you live. Our friends in Oregon once got theirs about 3 weeks before us. And, we have gotten ours before some people in Florida, and that's where they're sent from! So there's no rhyme or reason to it, apparently.

You get 'em when you get 'em, so quit yer whinin'! ;)

'Beano'

Kim..the Oct 15th person was from the UK...maybe why they got them early

Hey everyone! :pug:

i have a quick question about booking excursions and palo online. See, the problem is, i can't do it! Everytime I try to put in our confirmation # and birth day I get this message:

We're having a problem with our reservation system that will prevent you from booking your vacation package or retrieving your reservation right now. We're sorry for any inconvenience.

Am I the only one? seems like no one else is having a problem with it :confused3

Is there anyone else out there who booked through Wal-mart Vacations that is having a real time trying to retrieve their reservation! Help  :sad1:

Thanks in advance!

You might as well be driving one of these. It would be cheaper to run. I'm pretty sure they use diesel. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That's true, I went thru TA last time and I didn't get the Doc's until about 2, 2 1/2ish weeks before.

Thanks everyone for the posts. Kim, would love to try and get together. What do you do with all the candy if you get it at MNSSHP, and then on the boat?? Will MNSSHP sell out? Is it already to late to get tickets?

Rachel, that's great about your car, congrats.

Woke up with the crud today, Nyquil's partner in crime, Dayquil, along with some other meds have been my very best friends, and constant companions today. Trying to get better before I have to get on plane Sunday. Kinda bummed, don't wanna be sick in such a pretty place, but as I think Betsy or someone said earlier, I would MUCH rather get it now and ruin this vacation, then get it next month and REALLY be heartbroken. I can't stand the thought of being sick at "Mickey World" as Pookie calls it or on the "Mickey Boat".

TomTo: Didn't see a reply to your tea stuff yet, you get the tea rez's the same way as everything else online, if no tea appointments come up, then that means they are all gone. Keep looking as people (like me) keep changing their minds and cancel stuff. Also you can possibly get some during the scramble. One more trick you might try for tea that worked for me: I put in 1-2 people for tea and nothing came up. I changed it to 3-4 people and then one did come up. So take the 3-4 and just bring a friend or two. Don't worry about the rotation, even if you don't have kids, that doesn't mean that you don't get those restaurants, you just might not get AP the first night, but you will get it night 2 or 3. When we say that they only do the AP animation on the "first night" it just means first night of your particular rotation. AP will do the animations every night for the first 3 nights, to accommodate everyone's rotation.

Going back to bed, a little more loopier than normal right now, hope everyone had a really great day, and God Bless you All.

Lynne
